    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT My 1st Garage Journal

Good to see the updates. Your side shed has given me some ideas for expansion (I need a separate space to store yard equipment) that I can do. Regarding the baseboard gap, your floor is likely not level and garage floors often have a slope. Mine has a mild slope over the 30' depth.

Looks great. I really love that light-up Quaker State sign on the upper left.

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The Die-Cast Model Box

First time seeing this. I love the idea and excellent execution with the limited space. Looking out of the house to the lighted display is quite cool. I have a beer sign in my shop window and I turn it on for just a couple hours each night on a time and the glow is neat to see.

I don't own a Z actually, but contemplating getting the new one for my own retirement gift.

    The new Icehouse

Sorry for the huge delay. I thought I had responded to this question a couple year ago. For prep, I disassembled what I could, sanded and painted everything. Used flapper wheels on the most rusted stuff. Only found one c-clip I needed to replace. I used standard auto primer and I think...

My siblings and I took my mom to the Ark Encounter last year for her 90th. Quite the large place, and it wore us out that day. I have to hit Hershey some year.

Batt Ceiling Insulation without a Ceiling?

I don't see an issue. You could staple some kind of lightweight strapping to help support if you feel it necessary. Something you could leave in place later.

Between 485 & 705 SQ/FT Craftsman style garage in Detroit

So where is the huge tree on the left (in the upper picture) in the older photo below? Seems it should be visible. Beautiful work. I love the look of the siding and the new window trim.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I make the dealer do this, and if they balk I ask what the monthly advertising rate is that they will be paying.

Love the barrel sink. I wish I had water in my shop. A sink like that would be a great addition. I have an old Rusty Jones rustproofing barrel (somewhat rusty lol) I could possibly use.

Cost to move my 4-post lift 500 miles?

When I bought mine in 2020, I tried getting a flatbed tow truck to move it assembled. Unfortunately as mentioned above, width limits killed that idea. Movers said they would need a State police permit, approved route, extra rolls of red tape etc. Maybe they quoted me $300? I don't remember...

2 post lift advice: Used Rotary or new Greg Smith, or??

I was at this same exact decision point last fall. I was ready to pick up a new Atlas, but always continued to check CL. I found a late 80's vintage Rotary which in fact looks just like the one in the CL ad you show, but is blue. This one looks like it is in slightly better condition than the...

    The new Icehouse

Thanks Cris. Just reviewed your thread. You have come a good length in just a few months, and I look forward to more rally car action. I moved almost everything to the new place, and I do have more space. I have also decided to sell some things and have sold a few thousand $ worth of parts...
