Ok getting ready to rebuild it hopefully this weekend how do I get that big (snap ring) on pump cover off to pull it out and reseal it ? I assume even if I pull the bottom plug it need to remove the retaining clip. Anybody ?

Sitting next to my other WS it is a hein werner the hydraulics all look identical other then the saddle is smooth and no tee on the handle up by the release. And low and behold I measure the ram and indeed it seems to be WS I ordered a kit for a WS and I guess I will found out shortly. But...

Ok so I need a little help it's seems fairly obvious to me this a hein werner jack but there are no markings and the tag appears long gone can somebody help me possibly identify so I can pick up a rebuild kit. It is full of fluid and currently won't raise more then 6 inches. Thanks Chris

As former apprentice on a lot of commercial jobs this is what I would use and did use to terminate a stranded wire connect stranded wire was never meant to be wrapped around or under a terminal screw. Klein a makes a pair crimpers that work great for doing the connections.

It's a hell of thought but I think it would indeed gum it up as lead is very soft and will snap a drill bit if your not careful drill it. I think milling it would the best way to go but anything is worth a try.

I think it's a good price you won't find a new jack that will last 50 plus years chances are it is just low on oil if I had to guess. Good jack try bring him down on price and buy it.

I know deals are out there I had a guy on craigs said he would hold one for me for 75 bucks and sold it out from under me I was pissed.

Looking at a wilton bullet vise what's a fair going rate for an older used vise what looks to good usable shape ?

I agree I have hundreds of these at work and never thought about them for this purpose but if the price is right I don't think you could go wrong using for welding/setup table.
