Former professional mechanic here... I have never understood the fascination with using a pickle fork... It ruins the boots. A few wacks with a hammer on the outer part has removed EVERY tie rod I've ever come across probably 10k of them.

This thread derailed insanely quickly. What I'm doing is exactly what the OP needs. Im in NW MT so frost depth is 4' i bury all my water and sewage thats pumped at 6 feet. No real benefit in burying the basin below the frost level. You want easy access in case you need to replace the "cartridge"...

Over those 16 years while you are waiting on your payback you could have taken that $30k invested it with a fund and made probably 6%. Compound it and you are looking at probably $15k return...

Mine is 2" schedule 40. From the grinder pump goes straight down to 6 feet so its below frost line. Then the 300 some odd feet to septic tank. Then straight up 5 feet or so to a side inlet of septic tank. Simple.

I have one of These pumping my shop to my house septic system about 300 ft away. Been in place for 4 years without a hick-up.

OP hasn't answered.... What exactly is out of square? If its the slab fix it with the walls. Build everything square and plumb or you'll be kicking yourself in the *** every step of the way.

I have a big shop so take this with a grain of salt.... IMHO a welding table should not move at all. When I'm welding I want everything as rock solid as possible. One mobile work station and one rock solid welding/fixture table is what works for me.

I will never own a shop without floor drains again. Ive got a 30' trench drain right down the middle and love it!

I'll never go back to a chop saw after having a band saw. Just the ability to start the cut and walk away and continue a project is a MASSIVE time saver. And the mess is confined to a 12"x12" area.
