Tommy just not sure how this particular board is designed. Depends how the software is setup to read the circuit. Sometimes it is looking at a specific pin to declare a fault, not either / or. The code "expects" one pin to provide power and another to receive.

Looks like the board has a jumper left of the thermostat inputs block to allow the board to operate as two stage with a one stage thermostat via internal algorithm, clearly says Auto Staging. Pretty common feature, makes me wonder about the crew working on it.

Yeah a model of the air handler would have been great, could just grab a board, something like Trane CNT1866 can be had on ebay under $30 but thats just a wild guess.

Probably a cracked heat exchanger, on an older unit they will typically try to sell a new unit rather then invest large dollars to fix it. How old is it?
