I would assume you'll want the regulator at the bottle no matter what, otherwise you'll have up to 2000 pounds of pressure in your line.

I passed on one a few months back, and I'm really regretting it now as nothing has really come up since. I'm like you I can't justify big money for one, so... the search continues. Good point about the hydraulics being a costly issue, I hadn't really put to much thought into that.

This thread has me looking pretty hard for an old skidsteer to update!!

It does have a hinge in the middle, the two halves flip together and then slide in to reveal the drawers. It's an old Beach side box that used to be my pops'.

Thanks gearhead, I was trying to build it as quick as possible. I had the exact same problem as IMCA38 I moved my drillpress away from the lathe and got tired of walking back and forth.

I would go external mount, I did all my electrical in the wall and I have regretted it ever since. It makes life difficult every time you move or add a new piece of equipment. That being said if you know exactly where everything is going to go and don't plan on adding anything then it probably...

I agree, I find that owners markings add value for me it gives them a bit of soul. Whenever I buy a new tool I always mark my initials even if I'm the only one that will ever use it simply because I think one day once I'm gone somebody will use it and think I wonder who this guy was and I wonder...
