Filament dried? I never have issues with my X1 as long as I dry PETG for 6-12hrs in my Ebois filament drier before I print. I mostly print Polymaker and Kaaber PETG

That would be my assumption... that cooking kills any bacteria that finds its way from the 3d printed cookie cutter to the dough during the cutting process.

I print both. ABS is cheap but the stink factor is noticeably higher. ASA is really nice for the few outdoor prints I have done because of the added UV resistance, but its typically 2X the price of ABS. At least the brands I buy (Polymaker, eSun, and Overture)

Its easy to disable on the Tekton. Remove the drawer, remove the retaining screw that holds the safety slider mechanism, pull the mechanism out and throw it away.
