I have not owned any torx drivers by either company, but from my experience with PB and SO slotted and phillips head drivers, I would get the PB Swiss without hesitation. As others have noted, Wiha is also a good buy, but if you have your heart set on either PB or SO, I would go PB Swiss all day...

Good thoughts doug. I was actually looking into getting the ICON set for my work tool box. But your info makes me think ill look elsewhere. What are yalls thoughts on the Wiha snap ring pliers? They look like quality pliers, but im curious what people who have used them have to say.

Not sure what you mean but here is a pic. I drilled a hole in the USG side box and used a pre-existing hole in the Tekton to bolt the two together.

I have a USG side cab on mine and I find it is a perfect pair.

While it does stain w/ grime, it also wipes clean easily in my experience.

Sorry for the confusion at first! Yeah, I see no need for a 15mm or 5/8 1/4" drive unless you run into a very unique restricted-access situation, which for most casual DIY stuff should be extremely rare.

Ah my mistake! I misunderstood your post. You are asking if you should get the 15mm 1/4 drive and the elusive 5/8" 1/4 drive, right? Nah, I wouldn't bother if you already have a 3/8 set to cover those sizes.

I have no input on when a socket size should be a 3/8" drive, I will leave that to the engineers to answer. But I can tell you that if you plan on doing any suspension, hub/axle, or brake work it would behoove you to purchase a 3/8" set as well. you will need the 17, 18, 19, 21 for various...
