    Po-Man Lift?

Howdy all, It’s time to start on my ’69 Lincoln and I’m looking at options to get it up in the air a bit. I’ve read most of the archives about jack stands, but I’m looking for something a little more stable and permanent. My Lincoln weighs in at roughly 5800lbs dry and I really don’t want to...

    My garage build website.

Kenney, I THOUGHT some of your pics look familiar!:bounce: The way I figger it, you've got a nice view of the Deere dealership, Chinese Village (eggrolls!) and about a 2 beer stumble to the Plant! I lived in Moscow from '88 until '97. Attended the UofI for a couple of years and then lived up...

24x44 garage, is it possible to have 12' celings and still have a room above?

Bill, 28 x 28 garage/shop, 10' sidewalls, "Room-In-Attic" trusses, 8/12 pitch. Room upstairs is 12 x 28. Main ceiling is level 8' x 28, then ceiling slopes down to 6' sidewalls. My nickels worth, Scott

    Spark Plug Testers

roach clip; roach clip;roach clip. I know I've heard that term before. Maybe high school in the '70's? The only good reason to go to the doctors was to steal his Hemos..... Scott

    Specifically Speaking Channellock...

Jim, I was going to create a post about this same topic, but I never got around to it:willy_nil I received a pair of crimpers and both large and small end cutters for christmas from my kids so I couldn't take them back. The castings look terrible, the clear-coat is blotchy, runny, and missing...

    Under-The-Door Exhaust Hose...Ideas?

Howdy all~ I need to get some hose that connects to the exhaust on my rigs and runs out the door so I don't get killed! What do you guys use? I assume the hose is a standard size, but I also need adapters to fit different tail pipes and possibly a "T" so I can hook up dual exhaust. I'm not...

    Toilet Project Pics,

They'd probably think it was running water and praise Allah. Now if we could figure out a way to give the whole region a "*************"..... Lets just turn all that sand into glass. Scott

Cut-off Switch for Garage Door Opener

Depot or just about anybody will have the wire, jusk ask for thermostat wire. I don't think breaking the photo-eye circut will help. If the beam or wire is broken, the door will still go up, it just won't come back down. My Genie opener controls have a "Lock-out" feature which disables the...

Toilet Question - Off the Wall

I googled "toilet sticker", but got lots of hits for potty training stuff. Try "urinal sticker" for some more accurate hits. it looks like vinyl is the way to go, maybe with some waterproof clear tape or covering. I like this one~ Scott

    I have kids....Nuff said?

My question is, how to clean rusty tools. I set up a toolbox for the wife and kids to use, but it seems easier to go get a "good" tool from dad’s toolbox than use the ones I gave them. Bear in mind that my wife will use my good 300 dollar kitchen knives to unscrew a rusty regular head screw in...

    39 steps to wisdom

This is rather long, but quite good, I thought. 1. Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night. 2. Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often. 3. Going to church doesn't make you a Christian anymore than standing in a garage...

    2007 GM Fullsize Truck Pics

Geez, talk about timing. Monday morning I went in to spec out a new Reg cab Long bed 1500 Gmc. I'm planning on ordering it on Friday. Toilet question...seriously.

Did you stick the little rubber hose back into the top of the round tube that comes up from the bottom ? It's the tube that the rubber stopper is usually mounted to. Scott Edit: in the pic it's the bowl re-fill tube.

    DW317K - anyone have one?

I like my Bosch 1591 EVSK, although some people aren't fond of a barrel grip. I've found I can get into tighter places and have better control with my hand wrapped around motor. My nickels worth, Scott

    Roof sheathing

Plywood, osb, and other sheetgoods are manufactured in metric to be easier to market in our global economy. It is still sheared here in the US to our dimensions (4x8, etc) but is shipped both here and abroad in much larger sheets to facilitate ease in transportation. Use the 1/2 clips. Scott

Chad, Thanks for the heads up! I've been using 3D Home Arch. for a couple of years now, and I've been looking for a good replacement for a reasonable price. I downloaded the demo and it's light years ahead of what I already have. Now if I had a best Buy within a 100 miles of me I'd be in...
