    Garage Make Over business

Here are some ideas for marketing and sales. Concentrate on selling to the wives. Spin a garage make over as a place you can pull the cars out and have a party room. Think about a big family gathering in your newly remodeled, organized, heated garage. Also I would sell with the aspect of using...

    Favorite spray lubricant

http://www.chesterton.com/Product%20Documents/TPD/Product%20Datasheets/tdms723_EN.pdf The testing I've seen shows 723 Spray Solvo and Aero Kroil have the lowest take off torque. Most penetrating oils on the market today are designed for multiple functions displacing moisture, protecting...

    Favorite spray lubricant

http://www.chesterton.com/Product%20Documents/TPD/Product%20Datasheets/tdlu601_EN.pdf Best spray lube I've ever seen is Chesterton 601 Pin and Bushing lube. This stuff goes on as a foam, penetrates deep, and stays put.

    Muriatic Acid Question

Another way to spread the acid water mix is with a plastic watering can. Caution don't use a gavenised one. Cheaper then a sprayer and will last for more then 1 job.

    Floor sweeper

Here is one of the best tools I've found in awhile. I found it on Buy.com and it works really well keeping the garage floor cleaned up. I can sweep the whole garage in under 10 minutes and never have to bend down. It picks up everything from leaves to sand.

New here and working on a new shop

This July I opened up the garage for our first garage party and had some condensation issues. The floor was covered in water and the cars were also condensing moisture. This had not been an issue when I kept everything closed up. But once I opened it up to the humid Midwest summer everything was...

New here and working on a new shop

It is a standard hi eff. Lenox mounted horizontally with central air. Same thing they would use in a home. Originally the contractor was going to run insulated duct above the ceiling and have multiple registers around the perimeter. I thought this would be a major pain to install and I didn't...

New here and working on a new shop

I finally got my Garages 101 cabinets put together and mounted. I am really happy with them. About the only thing left is to get a counter top made.

New here and working on a new shop

Finally got some time to get the rest of the floor done. Even got my son Gage to help roll out the epoxy and throw the flakes. The last big step is to get the plumbers in and finish the bathroom and the sinks.

New here and working on a new shop

Thanks on the positive comments on the AMX. It is a fun car to drive. I am looking forword to getting the shop done so I can put in the 401 that I built for it. If you see watch the episode or Rides when Chris Titus was on HotRod Power Tour the front end of my AMX is in it for a couple of...

New here and working on a new shop

It depends on the building style. The building is a beam construction with a floating slab. If I would have gone with a foundation then the concrete would have been done first. Because of the size there is substantial savings by doing it this way. Concrete is just the floor and does not bear...

    Let's See Your Garage Dog

It is a sad day here. We had to put our dog down this morning. I let him out last night and he ran into some trouble. It seems he got in a tussle with some kind of animal and then got hit by a car. The car hit broke his RR thigh bone and pelvis. My wife and I made the tough decision to let him...

New here and working on a new shop

I didn't look at finishing it with drywall. The building was bid from Morton insulated and lined. It is their Performer package. Thanks for the positive comments.
