Hopefully you didn't pay too much, I see the slide support is gone too

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I believe they were private labeled by Charles Parker. At least the style like yours. It's probably not a coincidence they use the same number.

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I knew something was funky with the wrench. It's a Sargent...look for stamping on the front of the dynamic jaw.

    The VISES of Garage Journal

The swivel lock handle isn't original, but otherwise looks very nice.

Common use for SAE 19/32 socket?

I have a newer Heyco Germany 21/32 socket. Occasionally run into some Chinese hardware that's supposed to be 11/16. 17mm fits but is sloppy. If you throw a pair of calipers on it, it's .656" which is exactly 21/32.

Where did all the Parker Vise Collars go!?

There's a reason why so many broke...kind of a design flaw...they work fine until the vise gets rusty, or the slide gets mushroomed or cracked. People crank on them too hard trying to get them unstuck, and it's just a thin casting that breaks easily.

    O'Reillys Tank Jack

Saw this on FB, thought it was fake, then saw it on O'Reillys website: https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/tank-tough/tank-tough-3-ton-floor-jack/tnk0/tt20231 Searched here and didn't see it mentioned. Anyone have one yet?

    YOST 32 VISE

It's missing the pipe jaws, I would pass. Also, looks like the slide support is gone under the dynamic jaw. Definitely pass.

    The VISES of Garage Journal

The chart is a little wonky, but 406 lbs for the swivel base version?!?! That is one heck of a swivel base...136 lbs by itself!!!

Snap On Chest & Wilton Baby Vise sold.... $123.

Because it was local pick up only, if it was just the vise and they shipped, it would have gone over 400. Sometimes people just don't want money lol.

That one looks to have been repaired on the top of the L-shaped slots. These vises were neat but not built to last.

Can a roto head ratchet replace a flex head?

I happened onto a Snap-on THNF72 roto for cheap. Love that lil thing!! It's now my go-to 1/4 ratchet. Also have an old SK 3/8 I like, I don't use it as much as the 1/4. But it's solid.

    Disappointing Wright ratchet warranty experience

Within the past 4 or 5 years, they sent me a free 3/8 rebuild kit when I called. I'm not sure if calling would yield a different result, I see you emailed. *shrug* I have a bunch of Wright ratchets and the re-brands, and the comment about expensive rebuild kits is true. I've had pretty good...

Billings & Edmands - Rocky Hill, CT

I guess I collect these Billings & Spencer lineman's hand vises. Had 2, bought a 3rd on eBay without looking closely. Well, it's a Billings & Edmands, not a Billings & Spencer. I'm finding a blurb about this company being founded in 1884 by Charles Billings and George Edmands in Rocky Hill, CT...
