My friend has an Ego and I liked it so much that I bought one, I can’t believe I spent 300 bux on a trimmer. it sure works good and push a button and the line self loads. The best part is the string self feeds the correct length automatically, I have no idea how that works but it works well.

I use 1/2” copper PEX rings for 3/8” air hose and 3/4” for garden hose. Sometimes the rings are a bit small so I stretch them out a bit by hammering them on a tapered deep socket.

Piston should slide off, might be stuck. Will the piston turn on the rod? Might screw on but not likely. Might be an Oring between the piston and rod.

I use oven cleaner to clean steel when brazing. Removes all traces of oil and carbon allows the braze to wet better.

The thing about it is that my tools get put away easily I can walk over with a hand full and just set t down. No drawers to fool with For common use tools.
