Three of my workbenches have Ikea oak counter tops. Price is very good and a little varnish and they hold up very well. Will be getting a fourth soon to replace the last remaining workbench.

One time I tried to unplug a radio from an extension cord using my right and and my mouth. Drooled a little bit and got one hell of a shock. I would have use both hands but I was holding a plate of cheescake in my left one. At least I put the fork down.

I have the non-adjustable workbench legs and love them. Also used the brace pieces with an Ikea top and put rubber leveling feet underneat. Works great and holds a lot. Also tons of room to fit a box or cabinet and other storage. Not expensive. I got everythging from McMaster-Carr.

That pattern is one I would definitely copy if I ever did Racedeck in my garage.

Only long-term problem I've had with my HF 44" is that the drawer detents don't detent much anymore. I have to be a bit gentle closing the drawer or it will pop back open. Other than that, will keep the box for many more years, I hope.

The Husky socket/ratchet sets are made by Stanley, same design/look/everything. My first set was a Husky. The 3/8 ratchet developed a habit of reversing itself just like a similar Stanley ratchet that my brother had. Tossed the POS in no time.
