    Snap-on ratchet age/value

First let me be clear, these are NOT for sale. My neighbor was given these by his father-in-law, who was a mechanic in the 50s and 60s. He plans to clean them up, mount them in a display case and give them back to him as a Christmas gift. He doesn't care, but I want to know if these are as...

New Lenox "Speed Slot" Hole Saws

I thought they weren't announcing it until April 1. I also don't need any hole saws but I'll be grabbing a couple of the sizes I use most. These are nice enough that I'll gladly chuck my "regular" hole saws. lenoxunplugged

Does anyone here have plans for a roll chest kind of toolbox?

Not wood, but pretty clear instructions for building tool cabinets here: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1773 Just substitute wood for the steel and aluminum! The cad files are here: http://reference.toolandfab.com/writeups/mxtras-cabinets/index.htm

At the risk of prolonging a 3-5 year-old thread, is there a convenient source for Alpolic in less-than full case quantities?

    HF Air riveter

I bought the cheaper one in August. Actually, I bought two in case the first one took a **** in the middle of the job. I pulled around 4000 rivets with it over the weekend and only had to adjust it a few times (maybe every 1000 rivets or so.) For some reason, it didn't shoot the mandrels out...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The 12-Gauge Garage

Try 3M VHB tape: http://www.mcmaster.com/#vhb-tape/=ackdxg At a previous job we used it to repair 53 foot trailers and certain Pace trailers are built using it instead of screws or rivets. It's very strong stuff.

    Plier storage ideas?

I tried to nip each piece as short as possible so the protrusions aren't too bad. If I was more **** I might spend some time with a dremel smoothing them out. I had some in an aerosol spray from a long past project but it was solidified. Again, if I was more ****...:o

    Plier storage ideas?

Blatantly stolen from other posters: Wire desk organizer found at the dollar store, snipped the little cross pieces off and flipped it over. Good enough!

Very nice. Now you have me trolling CL for rolling cabinets! Maybe this is common knowledge but how were you able to get what appears to be the right shade of orange?

Left HF empty handed today ...

Pretty sure you need a coupon to get that price. I just bought one yesterday for $9.99 with a coupon (from Autoweek, I believe.) I'm still waiting for the 25" breaker bar to go back on sale but no dice.

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

10" socket rail (set of 3) #96343 http://www.harborfreight.com/10-inch-socket-holders-set-of-three-96343.html 2/3 Pass The 1/2" holders take way too much force to get the socket on or off. The 1/4" and 3/8" holders work well.
