Hazet 119150 - where to buy?

Hazet makes a number of special tools for auto manufacturers that are not listed in their regular catalogue. For example, I have some VAG hose clamp pliers made by Hazet with Hazet logo but also with VAG logo/VAS tool number engraved on them.

American made tap and die set?

Can someone recommend an American-made tap and die set? I need both US and metric sizes. Have never had a set, so do not know what manufacturers to search for. Thanks in advance!

Recommend me a good obd2 scanner

I bought a low-cost bluetooth module from Amazon and it connects to the Torque pro app on my android tablet. Code reading, resetting, live data, logging. Email reports to yourself! Highly recommend. The wireless module was cheap ($20?) and Torque pro was relatively inexpensive as well, and...

Recommendation for garage floor pro in Ohio?

I'm finally at the point where I'm ready to redo my cracked, uneven garage floor to make it a better space, but I don't have the time or expertise to do the floor (specifically the tear-out and re-pour). I can handle all other aspects of the garage redo: cabinets, electrical, etc. Can anyone...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Continued unpacking after the move. Measured for Lista cabinets :)

I know nothing (about garage flooring)

Fair enough, I composed the message last night on my phone, and I definately meant "keywords." I know I've got a lot of reading to do, am looking forward to it :)

I know nothing (about garage flooring)

Well, finally at age 30-something I've managed to buy my first home. It has a 1.5 car garage with a floor in disrepair, some major cracking etc. I'd like to not only make it look nicer, but seal it up so it functions well (e.g. with spills being easy to clean up). I literally know NOTHING...

Do people really care where tools are made

I suppose it depends on what I need the tool for, and for how long.

Harbor Freight 3 ton Jack stand caution

I am the king of cheapskates, but one thing I did NOT cheap out on was my jackstands: https://www.google.com/webhp?q=esco%20jack%20stands The minimum lift height is kind of high, and they are not as convenient to use, but they seem much safer to me.

What type of tool are you obsessed with?

VAG (Volkswagen Audi Group) factory / dealer tools. Doesn't matter if it is the exact same as another commercial tool -- I want the one with with the VAG number on it :)

    Grunge Garage

This is an inappropriate place to offer medical advice. Bill said he has pernicious anemia. Unless he posts his intrinsic factor assay results, I don't think he should start taking an oral B12 in lieu of injection for reasons I will not go into here.

    Wera chiseldriver = junk

If you got the replacement from the same dealer, isn't it possible that the new ones are just from the same bad batch?

    USPS package not received (ratchet)

This is reportedly happening a lot lately. Our local mail substation told us that lots of customers report tracking saying package delivered to house but it never was. FWIW, Amazon.com was super nice about it and refunded/replaced with no hassle.

12v electric impact wrench for car

I am looking for a corded 12v impact wrench for my wife's car My initial google searches have been disappointing in that everything seems to be a no-name brand with poor to mediocre reviews at best. Do any of the large, reputable tool makers have a 12 v electric impact wrench?

How to mix concrete floor patch

Hi, I just moved to a rental home, my first home with a garage. The detached garage has a floor with some significant (but not dangerously deep) holes in which I would like to patch with quickcrete. The problem is that I do not have a wheelbarrow, and that's the only way I've mixed it before...

    Anyone else like Channellocks?

Watch whom you call lazy. I work 6 days a week x 14 hours / day and don't have time for foolishness. My wife returned them and I did not want to make her have to screen the replacement pair. Everyone seems positive on CL, and I am sure that my experience is an aberration, but in the future I...

    Anyone else like Channellocks?

Funny you should post this. I purchased a pair of 317's at a WalMart as a show of support for WalMart carrying American products. When I got home, I noticed that the pliers had a large gap at the tip when fully closed because the knife edge and/or anvil were not ground down properly. I...
