Will that be for everyone or just harbor freight inside track club people? Only thing I was able to find online was saying it was for ITC only.

Thanks, I didn't even know about that spot on the website. Thought it was some ITC thing to know about sales that early.

Anyone know what kind of price match policy they have? I'm guessing the flyer fine print for this weekend's sale may say something, but you can't read it on the website. Just wondering if you purchased the box for more than $349.99 recently whether or not they will refund you the difference this weekend. My guess is they won't, but figured I'd ask.

Small print on the flyer does not mention previous purchases, so you should be able to get a pricematch. % off coupons not honored on these prices, but it does say they will offer rainchecks.

This set up felt as cheap as the new craftsman cabinets to me.
The US General Pro boxes seem so much better built.

There was a thread where people were standing in the drawers of these boxes.

I must say thought that if they had had the bigger cabinet when I was in the market, I might have gotten one of those instead of two of these. It is an amazing cabinet, and unbelievable for the price...

Like a lot of people, I have several of these cabinets set up as a workbench.

No-go at my local HF, already out of stock. Got a raincheck, hope I can still get the old finish.

I just bought one last week for $349.99.

Very pleased with this box, and plan to add the remaining boxes. Sure would like to have paid only 271.99 though

Just picked up a second tool box. I like the new finish better, but would have rather had the old finish to match my old box.

Decided to spring for a second box. Here at Albuquerque store it was the old wrinkle finish, which matches the first box. I also wish I got this one for the $279 price, but i am still happy at the $349 price. I also noticed the grease fittings on the rollers, otherwise it appears the same best I can tell with quick comparison.

Busted up the shipping crate and having a nice fire tonight! The crate was already falling apart just getting it out of my truck pulling on it. Sure is cheap plywood, if you can call it that. I can break it with my hands.

Went to HF today to pick myself up the top box before they changed to he new finish. ASked the guy behind the counter and he said he wasn't sure. If he typed in the part number it came up with an alternate part number that was described as "industrial". He said he guesses that it will be finished like the 56" box.

Glad I got my box setup before they changed to the newer finish.

PS - The top box will fit in the backseat of a 98 Chevy Malibu :bounce:

Called the 3 HF stores close to me and none of them have the new gloss box, but they told me the new boxes should be sold at their "regular" price of $389.

Called local HF and asked if they had any in stock. They said yup, just got ten. Drove out and turns out they have not had them in a week. Nice inventory system =( Sigh

Maybe I'm just older now - and made too many useless trips based on phone conversations - - but - - when I call anyone about buying something in the store I ALWAYS GET THEIR NAME clearly spelled correctly FIRST. Then I tell them that I have to drive a long way to get there - and ask them to go put their hand on the actual item just to be sure. I've even offered to pay for it via VISA/MC on the phone if necessary..

That has usually provided good results..

FWIW,

Does anyone know for sure if the gloss red will just replace the old black one? Or will it make the red wrinkle finish extinct?

Glad I stopped into this thread so I could go and get the top box before the gloss ones took over.

Still curious to see how these will look in person. Maybe nice enough to make me sell my wrinkle finish set and uy a new set???

I went to HF to look at this rollaway today. Its solid built with heavier gauges sheet metal but the slides ****. They twisted when I pushed down on the drawers to simulate a loaded drawer. Even the doubleslide drawers twisted under load. I have a craftsman chest and rollaway with compound slides. When I got home I checked and those slides do it to but too but to much less extent. I might just go buy kobalt instead as the SS 27in combo I looked at today as ywell is much better built. Jmho

The Pensacola store doesn't gave the gloss finish yet. I ran into the asst manager and asked him about it and he wasn't sure when they'd be getting them in. They did have the gloss 5 drawer cart. And coincedently, they had the old style 7 drawer side box where the pulls were in the center of the drawers.
