So, I went deep into Smokeshow and Rileysan territory this AM, hitting a two tool sales and two estates sales. The first sale turned out to be a bust, sadly as it was the furthest away, but the next one was good, a mess of vintage stuff at 50% off marked prices. And I wished I got there yesterday! Here is what I picked up for $10
Highlights include P&C, Plomb, Williams and Herbrand wrenches, a Starrett punch holder, SK and an unmarked flex 1/4 spinners, Hinsdale 9/32 spinner and some envelopes of machine screws and nuts. Oh, what is that little box, you ask?
A partial Hinsdale 9/32 set.
And here is the metal box everything was in
P&C 1/2 socket box. Nothing that goes with it was in that mess, but no matter, I will have it filled in no time.
Next stop as another estate sale in the general neighborhood, but there was a line to get in at noon on the second day, so I passed. It didn't look that good.
Final stop was a tool sale, and while the guy had some very nice stuff and knew his tools, he was a bit pricey. But I still managed to find some things:
A Brown and Sharp 6" tri-square, complete Union 10-24 tap set (a size I use a bit of) and the smallest T&D set I have ever seen. Like size 1 and such. I don't know if I will ever use it, but even though it was a little bit pricy I figured what the heck, I will probably never see another one. I spent $20 for all of that.
Altogether, it was a nice day.
