Think it is a pre-ratchet era S-K tool kit:

Cool vintage S-K 1/2 drive set, a few wear marks, but most pieces have like new chrome on them.

(Wish I had a pic of the S-K back lit sign to share.........)

It just seems wrong to me to have a drawer full of unused ratchets with the tags still on even if they're the limited run green handled variety. :wtf:

You need to let those virgin ratchets go... do some work!! get dirty!!!

I want the one that looks like a 3/8" in a 1/4" body.

Wouldn't mind having a roto-ratchet, as well as the bent-handle flex. Yes, I am sick. Sick, sick, sick. SicK! :lol_hitti

Pshh.. Truthfully I have all those Specialty ratchets and the only ones i use in that picture with any Regularity is the Roto Head and the Long 1/2" drive and the Long 1/4". If the Need ever arises ill be covered though.

Found the 4 sided wooden tool board. It is actually a Barcalo/S-K tool board(s). It has holes in the top and bottom presumably for a manual mechanism to allow the tool display to rotate as a counter display. It is also missing the metal hanger thingies, and got a little nicked up during shipping years ago.

Interesting, the 2 Barcalo sides are for all wrenches, and the 2 S-K sides are for sockets and socket drive tools. Come to think of it, I don't recall ever seeing Barcalo ratchets or sockets. S-K's main business in the early days was sockets and drive tools, until their merger with the Lectrolite wrench company around 1950 or so.

Enjoy....

Great collection chopper1.

Is the green and white handled ratchet homemade?....or a factory piece?

It's a home made job. Made from an SK magnetic bit driver.
I picked it up at a garage sale a couple years ago from on old man.

********************************************************
I forgot to post my extra sockets and universals.

I will post soon, but I am an SK addict. Always loved them and searched the flea markets for them. I have some old Sherman Klove stuff, as well as cur rend production. I like my Snap-On and MAC but SK is still in the top 3 of what is on my service truck.

Here's a few SK you don't see everyday, the awesome Frankenstein ratchets.

In the interest of full disclosure, I own two other singles, one each in 1/2" and 3/8" too, just don't have a photo around. What, they're cool and indestructible, who wouldn't horde them? :D

Not "mine" but I just ordered these for a buddy who installed a wideband guage on my SS for me.

Hopefully they are good quality, I was going to get him SO but $250 vs $90 is a no brainer.

Darkk and I finally dug out his two old toolboxes out of the small garage where they have been stuffed in the corner for the past 17 years. When we lived in Florida, his business got broken into, and they stole everything. He managed to get these two boxes back, with lots of stuff missing. Since then we've gotten a large toolbox, and bought other tools to start new sets instead of sorting everything, but we took the time to empty them out yesterday, and go through what was there. We were able to fish through all the stuff (was just thrown randomly in all the drawers thanks to the crackheads), and put some full sets back together, including one that he's had for 43 years. Still even has the paper tag with the $27.99 price tag in it

everything you can see here is SK, or SK-Wayne. All vintage 60's-80's stuff

Mishmash of different wrench sets and screwdrivers. The damn crackheads that stole everything traded off alot of random stuff, so all the complete sets are just individual tools at this point

There are over 700 of various brands in the collection. Went to flea markets mostly in the late 90's before getting married. Then discovered the internet and ebay. Many garage journal members helped in making the collection what it is.

Pic's of an S-K chest in the collection, it to is full of S-K:

My meager assembly (after seeing cryptic's photos), also have a 3/8" speed wrench and a 1/2" flex handle with some tapered sockets.

All bought new, 1954 to 56.

Got a few straggler ratchet/sockets in the box on shoptruck...nuthin much.

But a year or so ago, bought their biggest screwdriver set....along with some singles. It has its own drawer in machineshop box.

Need to get back on taking pics.........a computer crash(ate a hundred or so pics),and a dang stupid, camera that eats battery's before lunch has made it difficult. The above "set" of screwdrivers is pretty cool. They're living a pretty guarded life, haha.

Slowly building a st of S-K tools, mostly just to justify the vintage S-K hip box I picked up last winter. I have a few more SK sockets, but those are still filling hols in the main box and I didn't feel like digging any out except the boxed set of swivel sockets I picked up last fall. Vintage SK seems to be a little scarce around here.
