With all the interesting handled ratchets poping up lately it was mentioned that a thread was needed to showcase them all in one place.

You might see some real bastardizations in here so beware.

I'll start with a few I did.

These have all been done by other members
If any of these are your ratchets please repost them so everyone knows who made them. Unless your ashamed you created the human centipede of ratchets.

not a ratchet, and i dont have a picture because it's at work... but, i found a 12" adjustable wrench w/ a hammer face on the side. i cut the handle off and welded an alignment pin on for a handle. so convenient, and didn't cost me $60 from klein.

ok I have a question, are you guys turning the ratchets on a lathe to make them fit the hard handle or are you drilling the handle to fit the ratchet. And how are you holding the handle on? I ask this cause I like the feeling of the handle rather than the bare ratchet but I don't have, or know someone who does, have a lathe.

Most are "press fit", round handle ratchets don't need to be turned. Drill your hole in the handle 1 drill bit size smaller than your ratchet handle

I see some of mine above, but here are all the "custom" ratchets I have:

Most of the ratchets I've modified have required turning down the ratchet on a lathe as well as boring out the handle to press it onto the ratchet. See here for details about some of my conversions. Contact me through PM if you're interested in having some ratchets customized.

I had to bend the handle on this for a project. When straightening it out it broke. So I bored out the handle and pressed it back together for a shorty.

There are some handy creations here! haha The finish on that Delrin one is excellent and looks like it's got a great texture to it! Very creative folks on this forum.

Can you buy a Craftsman Pro handle separately without sacrificing a screwdriver to get one?

Not that I'm aware of. But I don't think $5-10 for a screwdriver to sacrifice is that bad (especially compared to Snap-On handles prices).

I like fixing broken tools and making them new, there is a little gap around the hole I drilled in the screwdriver handle as the ratchet isn't quite round, I'll probably try to melt some red plastic into the hole to finish it off
