only 1 quick stop for me, all for $10: NAPA stool, and some rusty tools (forgot to take before picture). I soaked for 2 days, then cleaned off a bit with steel wool.
Kraeuter diagonal cutters
Sargent nail puller
small nail puller, with an anchor?? symbol
I will clean up the tools some more, sharpen, and use.
Paulm12: nice score on that Napa barstool
creativecars: that speedway grinder would make a nice restored piece.
What they are depends on the way the jaws are shaped and sharpened. Some are double beveled, some single beveled, some sharpened for cutting and some (relatively) dull for pulling. Length of handles is also a factor.Scooter: thanks, I saw that post, I just always called them "nail pullers", I think they are usually called end nippers or farriers (sp??) nippers. I still haven't ID'd the logo on mine.

I use pretty much the nearest one to hand for whatever I need it for.

Very nice - that $12 Block earns a "you ****" if it works.Saturday's finds:
My first Craftsman block grinder of which I've read so much about on this forum. They wanted $18 and since they were negotiable, took $12.

And these 12 smalls for $10. Didn't know the pliers were M. Klein's until I got them home and cleaned them up. I did know they had a nice feel and were well constructed.

For whatever reason the first few weeks of October seems to be pretty good estate/garage saling weekends around these parts. Probably fitting them in before the weather really turns.
SK and Snap-On drivers. $2.50. The ratcheting one is missing the end cap and bits. I see new end caps are available but for a price.
Good job Sam. Those old craftsman screwdrivers are popping up more lately. I bet a complete set of those would be a nice daily user option.
can I ask what exactly are the "older CM screwdrivers" you mention? How to identify them? thanks
See post #5622
They are clear handles with red and blue but handle shape is closer then the craftsman pro
Its been awhile since I went looking, but recently picked up these.....
NOS Armstrong Adjustables with grip, 4in Crescent, 8in Wide Mouth Diamond ( I think someone removed the green grip).
Craftsman Tappet wrenches in leather pouch, NOS S-K Wayne screwdriver set, Craftsman BE ratchet, etc. Plomb Toolbox
Oh man, this must be old school Craftsman ratchet day.
Eborcim with the RHFT.
Oak park with the quick clean and BE ratchets. And the S-K Wayne drivers, those some beauties there.
I'll bring the box head and tri wing ratchets. Picked this lot up off CL. $40 for the whole shot. Lots of cheap beaters but some decent condition stuff and some great old school Moore Craftsman ratchets.
The white bin is 90% Craftsman USA sockets, most like new.

Pretty positive that's the recall RAS where you can send in the motor and get a check for. $100... If and when you get tired of it collecting dust, check out the recall.
By some chance you definitely decide to keep it, I think the recall offers a blade guard in place of the $100 check, I chose the check.![]()
