I am staggered. Heck of a deal there waggoner. I would have sh** myself.
Well, I'm back at it. Snagged another snap-on box with tools. Here's some pictures. Smaller than what I usually pick up. Paid $650 for it all. Also got a lot of motorcycle parts for my bikes worth a good chunk of change.
Super long feeler gauges I thought was cool
There was a bit more than this but I already put some in my toolbox.

This is a warning order.............potential "megapick" at a "my father just passed away" property this weekend. Quote: "4 outbuildings with piles of old, old tools everywhere." "No one has been in them yet, just some people wanting antiques from the house." They're not available to let anyone come by 'til Sunday!!!![]()

Will they let you pitch a tent in the front yard until they open ?![]()

.It's about time we go meet Twertsy.

GARAGE JOURNAL ROADTRIP 2015 !!!!!!!!
So, twertsy - just how big is your couch ?![]()

What about the Cman 5198/5199's and Reed 209/409's that are so buried in the sheds that you can't find them ? Or the 300lbs anvils for $20 that can't be moved because they're holding the building up ?
I really hope that the sheds aren't filled with cheap bargain bin chinese imports.
Ohhh, the horror.![]()

$40 for a Dumore drill press.

Probably not jewelers, but watchmakers. Odd that it is not variable.
I have a variable speed mini, but I think it was aimed at the early PCB market. It goes fro 100-either 10 or 20K. It does't get used much, but when I need it, I need it...
Max bit size is like 1/8" or less..

Now, back to the mega pick slumber party...more info plzkthnx![]()

We'll leave the beer fridge full!

you guys are nuts. this tool hunt is gonna be a complete goat ****.
i'm sure it will be a waste of time, but it will be at least a fun road trip.
of course i'm only saying this because i dont want to jinx us.
truth is twertsy and i are both speculating/daydreaming about what might be there
were both probably more excited than a 12 year old boy that just found a ******* magazine![]()

OK I'm home now, so my mini DP is a "Electro-Mechano" its 1-10K rpms, and a direct drive the whole motor is moved up and down, to drill, and the chuck is on the motor shaft.
The Chuck is 0-5/32 capacity, and it's on a 0 taper
Not mine:![]()
Dang, the company appears to still be in business!
Finally get to post in the GS 2015 thread!
Vintage Stanley Industrial router.
7/8 HP - 23,000 RPM.
Purrs like the day it was made, and will most likely outlast anything made today.
Just a little bit bigger than a laminate trimmer, but smaller than the more usual PC unit.
:Still in business, still made (I've had mine for almost 40 years...) Price list dated 2013 is over $1400!![]()
That's really cool. I think I am going to put mine ins cabinet for now and see if I ever end up using it. I know I will end up needing it as soon as I sell it.
