Very good score on the vise. The lettering is often hard to read. Around the slide on the static jaw is "Pat June 16, 1885". On the dynamic jaw is "Phoenix", and on the end of the leadscrew is stamped the model number. I can't read yours, but some models are 1 1/2, 2 1/2, 2 3/4, 3 1/2 and 4 1/2. Jaw size ranges from 1" to 2 1/2". (there may be others; these are the ones I've been able to lay my hands on.)
Too bad the table clamp screw isn't original on yours, but they were cast iron batwings, and easily broken. For a buck, I sure would have snapped it up!
And I finally caught Outlaw in a typo (I know he knows the correct name). The Patent holder is George Colton, not Colten.
