Went out today looking for old tools, but ended up with a pair of GE LED Pedestrian Signal with Full Person and Full Hand on a 16 x 18 module screen. There is also the cast push button activator included as well. The Model is PS7-CFC1-26A2.

Hey Mike.....Neat find, but I'm curious.....What in the world are you going to do with 2 Pedestrian Signals??? :headscrat :D

Nice find. I think i like the push button panels more than the actual lights themselves!

Picked up this Reelcraft airhose and reel yesterday. Works great, $30. Also picked up the handtruck here. 8" aluminum wheels with grease fittings $20. Last item is a complete floor standing 1940s Delta Rockwell drill press, no motor, that I got for $20.00. I plan to part it out, unless I can find a guy locally who will pay $40-50 with plans to restore it. Guy is delivering it Saturday.

What model is the drill press?

Mike what kind of Phone numbers or addresses do the ice pics have? Some will show their age that way...

Outlawmws:

On these ice picks, no ph #'s or addresses, just advertisements of product (i.e. Orange Crush and on other, Modern Ice.).

JMLangford:

On the 2 Pedestrian Signals, I'll sell one and keep the other. I'd also like to check to see if I can power them up.

Jawoodworking:

They are more modern looking than my RR items, but I'm kind of seeing them in operation and "lit up" on the deck in the evening.

Well, friday's sale was at a retired HVAC contractor's shop. they had a few HF cabinets and a bunch of tools and equipment for sale. All the priced tools were too expensive for my tastes, but there were still lots of unmarked tools to dig through. I was surprised at how much HF was mixed in with the name brands. There was a nice Kennedy mechanics top box in silver hammered finnish that I had to pass on, as well as a lift platform that was out of my budget. Plenty of chain falls as well.

In the end, I ended up spending $30.

Craftsman #9-55713 12" chain wrench (WF)
Bronze hammer (well used ) the only marking says ?? IXIE ?

Jake-I like those Craftsman chain wrenches because the different handle styles/script they came in.

Today's haul- while the whole town was ******* at a couple big tool sales today I decided to go the other route and hit a less obvious one. My plan worked, I was one of two guys at the door when it opened and the other guy was after an old toy! For once I got everything I wanted and I had the tool table all to myself for about the first 10 minutes which is unheard of!

I ended up with these tools and oil, and a bunch of odds and ends for about 50 bucks.

Old Craftsman, S-K, Proto, Snap on speeder, Husky, Diamond,Billings, Starrett.

Hit 4 sales this morning and not a tool in sight.. obviously I went to the wrong ones! Posted some of this stuff up at the end of last year, but wanted to highlight one of my Craigslist finds that I got to use yesterday to cut new kick panels for my truck.

Craftsman saber saw with original owners manual, box, pack of blades, and the red blade holder/identifier thing. Still works like a dream :)

Jake I made a mistake, it's actually Martin brand on the bucking bar, but it sure would come in handy on a resto.

Finally got to sorting last weekend's picks. It was yard sale Sunday at Antique World which happens on the first Sunday of every month. Tons of merchandise and vendors set up on the lawn and everywhere. I got a lot of little tidbits mostly for 50 cents here and a dollar there, the kind of stuff I like. I think it all ran me near $50.

Let's see, Craftsman, Snap On, Proto, Indestro, Easco, McKaig-Hatch(often seen in these parts but not so much on Garage Journal),Fleet, Husky,S-k, Plomb, Wiliams, Blackhawk, etc. Variety of brands.

Probably the newest tool in the bunch, Craftsman California framing hammer.

Thanks, I need to add it to the heritage thread.

Eh, them wrenches all look the same to me (I hope that's not wrenchist). The hammer looked a little funny with how straight the claw appears to be, even more so than a typical framing hammer.

Slim pickin's for me today, but I did find one item that is seldom seen in sales around here. This pair is heavy-weight - made for upholstery.

See all the great tool finds by others, but wasn't to be on my Friday yard sale run.

However, I did run into an old oak piece that had some great turnings, ball and claw feet and a pass through turned stretcher. Underneath had just enough of the Mfg date left to show it was built in 1900 time period. Although it has the look and height of a piano bench, I don't think that is what it is based on the legs. So, for now, saying it is a coffee table till I learn differently.

It's way too delicate to put very much weight on it.

Man some of you guys are hitting it hot! esp. 3Bay!

I'm looking at just three stops so far for tomorrow. NOTHING today...

Blue frog any numbers on those Wiss? I have a half dozen or more pairs of the heavies.

Classic I like that model Saber saw. I have two of them one was abused but not used much (paint and **** on it) and the other is near NOS! Does that one have the variable speed?

I love my Wiss shears. No-one in the house is allowed to touch them.

Ryan has a thread on those key chain screw drivers like the one on the red Proto box, you ought to post that over there.

The hardened blades are hot riveted flush to the handles. very thin blades and lots of ********** action as the blades have a curve to them, the tips will actually srping the blades open a bit.
