My last day off this week, and I managed to get out for the first day of a Fri-Sat-Sun yard sale. This one was billed as "Selling everything and moving to Florida! 40 years as a tradesman, garage as big as house" type sale, and it did not disappoint. Very nice gentleman and wife leaving for FLA next week, so he needed to sell.
Two early bird ********* pickers were already there and had made piles, but I managed to find a few bargains - you all can be the judge.
Spectra-Physics 1110 laser level, with tripod, case and few other leveling tools. The power cord was chewed up and the level wouldn't turn on. I paid the marked asking price of $25. After I got it home I rewired the coax power connector and it fired up. The auto level feature doesn't seem to work, but I'll download the manual and continue to troubleshoot it next weekend.
A brace of $5 tools. I again paid his asking price on each. The fish tape, stapler and auger bit will go up on EBay. The heat gun I'll keep.
I found my Milwaukee Sawzall - not as good a deal as Outlaw's recent $5 Sawzall, but I'm happy.
This pile was unmarked, but I got it all for $20:
Home Depot 29oz heavy duty caulk gun
48" Wal-board brand aluminum T-square
2lbs 1-1/4" exterior deck screws
Most of a 100-count box of 1/4" x 3-1/4" concrete anchor screws w/ 1/4" masonry bit included in box
10" Rigid pipe wrench
Globemaster 15/16" combo wrench, made in West Germany
S-K 1/4" x 5/16" DOE wrench
Stack of 5 storage hooks
Double 1" pulley
1" galvanized chain shackle
100-count 3/16" washers
5000-count box of 5/16" staples
Buckets of stuff were $5 each. The first had 12 heavy 4" hinges, 6 more storage hooks and a bag of 1/4" x 1-1/2 self tapping screws. The second had 2 4" casters and 4 5" locking caster wheels.
Rotozip R20 with 90-degree accessory, spare wood wheel and cutting disk - $25.
Drill Doctor bit sharpener w/ 2 of 3 chucks - $10
10.5" clamp light - $2
I'm happy. [emoji1]
