Aren't you glad you met this guy nines?
I think merc is going to be your nemesis.

I think merc is going to be your nemesis.

While I was on the phone confirming the deal with the nice lady, I could hear her uncle in the background telling Merc to squeal like a pig, he really took one for the team and I can not thank him enough!

That's a complete lie, Nine.

The price for all of this, 11.00.

You both made me laugh when reading your various posts on the recent great finds.
Stopped at our local flea market (12/15/2015) and owner said he brought in some tools to sell and that I might want to look through them.

Finally a SCORE!! Palgren 8" x/y rotary table with 3" Craftsman drill press vise for $50, plus I owe Merc a delivery fee for picking it up an hour away!! I had been in touch with a lady when I saw this in the background of a CL ad for wood working tools on a drill press. After contacting her, she mentioned having 4 more bench vises(one being big) for sale as well. I asked her for pics and she sent them with model numbers this morning while I was sleeping. By the time I woke up, I saw her message saying if I wanted any of them to let her know as she had someone coming by 30-45 minutes later. I freaked the F out. :willly_nil
After researching the "big" vise I found what they go for and hit her back asking if it was damaged in any way and for more pics. I did not hear back from her and was getting worried. I was not interested in any other items but the x/y table but Merc mentioned wanting a big swivel vise so I wanted to make sure it was in good condition to grab for him. My mom happened to be in town too and while having lunch we discussed taking a ride to go get the vices if the lady ever responds. My phone rings and it's Merc, after eating I check my messages and see a text from him with the pic below, he was at the lady's house right then!! He was trying to convince her he wanted to pick the x/y and vise up for me but she promised not to sell out from under me so I got her on the phone and confirmed the deal, he paid for my x/y and struck a deal for the big vise along with other goodies(I'm sure he'll post) and brought it back to town for me. I could not be happier, Merc IOU man!!
I just got home from his house where he loaded me up with some things he wanted to get rid of too that I will post later. I have been searching for a 6" rotary for years and thought this was one, turns out to be an 8" Palmgren made x/y rotary, I am even more excited and just wait til you guys see what he came home with, AWESOME day for me for sure, I think he will be a lil more excited when he does some research on his finds as well!!

I stopped at a moving sale this morning on the way home from work. I never had any luck finding decent tools at estate or garage sales, but today I found a decent lot of random USA wrenches, one huge Wright 12 point socket, 2 Usa metal rulers, a actual Vice Grip and a metal Craftsman tool box that is exactly like my first tool box that my dad bought me when I turned 18. I'll fill this one for my son, so I can pass the tradition along.

This weeks purchase comes from a CL ad since garage sales are winding down around here some what and I have not had time to hit any estate sales. And my biggest purchase to date but I think I got a good deal.
16' car hauler with twin 6000 lb axles and dovetail back. $700

Last weekends goodies. I still cant find out what the C clamps are for, Im thinking something for a Model A as I got these from the vintage car parts area of the sale. Prices were fair, Columbian and old Athol vise were $20 each.

I hate to say this but I don't think you got a very good deal. Looks like that "car hauler" started its life as a double axle camping trailer. Then some one cut and lowered the back half for the dove tail. Overall I wouldn't trust it hauling anything over 2000lbs.![]()
Brother-in-Law brought over a couple of items. Worked on both of them and here is what they look like now.

Just a reminder guys, we need nominations for next years thread starter, either we can discuss it here or we can start a poll if needed but we've only got two weeks til the new season to decide who will host 2016's 5th annual thread!!
