DFA, I bet you can get some inexpensive plastic tubs or baskets that would fit that rack

I sell them;

This is the full effect worth the big bucks.![]()
Damn, I missed that listing. It's a bit too far out of my range for me anyways. I'm already trapped at the house for the rest of the day.I'll have to see if I can make arrangements (beg my sister for a deal) for tomorrow morning.
The two sales near me this morning were both a bust.

I won't be going, I need to stop buying tools. A new service truck is in the near future. The Chevy is getting rough. I think I will go into retirement unless a deal tempts me out.![]()

But that pretty new truck is going to feel empty unless you stock up so you can overload it. This could be your chance.![]()

I'm not falling for that trick! My trailer is starting to fill up with the overflow.![]()
Ooooo, wait ............ I might have a problem .......
Welcome to the bleachers, Bobcat! There's a good view of the action, the only running around you do is to the fridge for snacks, and you have a lot more money in your pocket! ....................

Welcome to the bleachers, Bobcat! There's a good view of the action, the only running around you do is to the fridge for snacks, and you have a lot more money in your pocket! Also, you'll have time to work on a shtick about how you're retired, but you still just happen to show up in this thread with good deals.
Seriously though, good luck with the new wheels!

Sez the guy who gives unnecessary driving lessons, with noone else in the truck, but only on Saturday mornings.![]()

Finally had a good tool auction this weekend. I haven't gotten a chance to unload the car and go through everything, but I thought I'd post a few interesting things from the auction I didn't win.
First off, there was this little bench top Craftsman drill press:

It sold for 30$
Then there was a floorstanding Craftsman drill press:

It needed a new motor. The auctioneer said they plugged it in this morning to test it and it dimmed the lights in the pole building and smoked. It sold for 110$.
There was this Craftsman tool chest with castle:
![]()
The drawers felt like they moved pretty good. It sold for 85$.
I found this wrench that I didn't recognize the makers mark on:
![]()
Anyone know who makes it?
There was a huge fleet of C-clamps:
![]()
Most were Wilton but there was a pair of J.H. Williams C-Clamps. I didn't even know they made C-clamps.
I was sad about this one. There were these cool Mayhew chisels!
![]()
I dropped out of the bidding at 25$. I'm not sure how high they went but I was not expecting anyone to even want them!
I didn't get a picture of it but there was a Craftsman 1/2HP block grinder with both shields, but in generally bad condition that went for 27$.
We were there for quite a while. From 9:30AM to about 3PM. Next weeks salebill doesn't list tools but normally this auction runs every week with lots of hayracks of tools.
Me too, and I have absolutely no space for one! Well done on everything!I would have been all over that craftsman toolbox for $85!!

I talked SWMBO into going out to a nearby sale one town over after lunch.
Best part was learning that the sale company had to put stuff in storage, to include a bunch of vintage tools, to make room for this sale and that they'd be having another in a few weeks. I will definitely come out of "retirement" to check that one out!
Bought this 96 Saturn from a buddy. It had broke the timing cover from an idler pulley breaking. Pep boys told them they didn't making that timing cover anymore so it would cost more to replace it than the car was worth. They called the local picknpull and got offered $64. They offered it to me at $65. I said deal without even seeing the car. Gave me the key and the title right then and the pep boys it was at.
I drove it up on the trailer, just no power steering or ac because the serpentine belt was off due to the broken pulley.
Looked online for salvage yards, found a timing cover for $40 shipped to my door. Went ahead and got a timing chain kit for it too.
Cover I got shipped to me
New timing kit
Runs and drives for under $150. New tires, ac blows cold.
Great deal on a cheap beater car. I think everyone that works on cars should have a beater. Mine is a Saturn as well. One of those cars that will make parts runs when everything else is down for one reason or another, will get you to work when you need it too, won't impress anyone but you'll get there, don't have to worry about the odd scratch or door ding, costs $30 a month to insure, gets great gas mileage, and if you are fixing someone else's car, you can loan them the beater and not worry about your "nice" car getting messed up. Word of advice on that particular car - check the oil every time you put gas in. Oil consumption is a common issue with Saturns, mine burns a quart every 3k, but many people report worse. If you keep oil in it, you can get 300k out of it, but not checking the oil is how these cars got a bad reputation.
