Just placed my order. My order # was 100011944. Ordered the Norseman set, plus some individual Norseman bits in common sizes used on my friends race car. Also got some Wilde odds and ends, including replacement stones for my old wheel cylinder hone.

I also ordered the SK ratchet, I usually use long flex handles but the only shorter handle 3/8 ratchet I've ever had was a RP Cman so I'm curious to see if a better ratcheting mechanism and ergonomic handle make me reach for the shorter ratchet more.

And I'm still kicking myself, I was in KC in April for a conference at the Marriott four blocks from Epsteins and I completely spaced walking over there and checking it out in person!

My wife and I will be in KC the last week of July, celebrating our 20th anniversary. I've already told her that we will be going to Epstein's while we are there. Fortunately, after 20 years my wife tolerates me well. :rocker:

My order was shipped yesterday. Looking forward to some cool SK, NOS Craftsman and Wright Tools plus box art. USPS tracking says arriving on Monday.

I was hurt when I came home and saw the email announcing to the world that new SK ratchet was available now before Epstein's day from Epstein's and that there were only 15 available. :wtf:

Don't worry about the inventory. We have plenty more coming and SK has set a substantial amount of them aside for us. :)

I hope the "plenty more coming" and "substantial amount of them set aside for us" are still coming or set aside because the HJE Web site is showing 0 SK 90-tooth ratchets available tonight. :(

No worries.

Some of the sk stuff I was looking at says that it's special order and that it generally take a week to ship but it also says that you have x amount in stock. So if I purchase an item like that would I have to wait a week even though it says you have it in inventory?

Cut from original post
I imagine we will place two large Wright and SK orders on Saturday, after Epstein's Day is officially over.

Hopefully they'll get most of our stuff that we currently don't have in stock late that next week.

So either way, I would anticipate slightly longer wait times, especially because of all the box art requests I imagine are also on there way.

Just know that we are processing stuff as quickly as we can.

If you have questions about your order, please feel free to PM me or give us a call.

I'm not worried, I'm disappointed. Guess I would feel better if the "no worries" came from HJE or SK Tools, not a "cut and paste" from another GJ member.
If the quantity is 0 then all current orders are filled. If they were back ordered you would see a negative number.

So you should be good....

I've bought a lot of stuff from HJE over the years - on the "new" Web site and on the "old" Web site. Never seen a negative quantity.

If the quantity is zero then the stock on hand is zero. If my order was filled I would have received an E-mail with tracking info.

Look at the 1/4 drive 15mm deep SK sockets for example....

Last year on HJE day I bought Wright ratchets and the 1/2 drive went negative. I was watching the 90'tooth SK ratchets last week and after the first day it went like -15, but after two days they must of gotten a shipment in and the quantity jumped to around 50.

The stock quantity is real time, if you check quantity before you order and check again after, you'll see it dropped by one.

At least that is what it was on last years HJE day..

They get backed up during HJE week, so it's very common that it takes a little while for them to ship everything. Even if they have it in stock.

It would be interesting to know how many HJE sold from June 13th to July 7th.

I don't think 175 would be an unreasonable number.

Almost everything, I ordered was negative as they were special order. All sk stuff.

We have another 100 of the ratchets on order that should be in next week. SK set aside 500 for us, and they're shipping very quickly, so there's no need to worry about the inventory.

That was pretty nice of SK to set that many aside for Garage Journal mopes.

Was the new 90 tooth SK ratchet the most ordered item this Epstein's Day? How many were ordered? I ordered one.

Don't have the exact numbers in front of me, but I bet the most ordered item was a toss up between the 90 tooth ratchet and the hook & pick set. I would estimate around 100 of each.

Yes, call the store with your order number and they can add the new items to the order if it hasn't already been boxed. You may have a separate bill though, if the first order has already been billed.

My order arrived today. Awesome box art! Ordered a 12 in Armstrong and a 15 in Wright adjustable wrench, S-K 1/4 in locking extensions and a S-K 1/4 in metric standard sockets set. Got the graybar nail puller, a key ring and the S-K t-shirt. Awesome HJE, thanks very much.

How long does it typically take for orders to be sent out? I'm in no rush, but I'm in WI and noticed someone in Hawaii already received theirs.

Jori's previous post from the 3rd -

Thanks for brining this up. Normally, we like to ship stuff out the same day it's ordered, but because we are about to get bombarded with orders, it's going to take us some time to process them all.

I imagine we will place two large Wright and SK orders on Saturday, after Epstein's Day is officially over.

Hopefully they'll get most of our stuff that we currently don't have in stock late that next week.

Just know that we are processing stuff as quickly as we can.

If you have questions about your order, please feel free to PM me or give us a call. (Note: We are out of the office tomorrow)

Ill be hanging around till midnight if anyone has any other questions/concern. Have a Happy Epstein's Day everyone, and a great fourth of July!

That's my order! :bounce:

I asked for "a lizard running a drill press" and it's way cooler than I imagined...

Hooray for box art! This thing's going on the wall.

Here's my take. I thought the sk magnets were badges of some sort. No pic on HJE's site. Turns out they're drawer labels. Don't really need them but may put them on anyway. As I get older I probably will need them.

Got my tracking number today, looking forward to getting that new SK 90 tooth in my hands. Hopefully they still had a t-shirt in my size, but if not, at least I get some sweet SK tools and feel good to support an American business. Thanks again to Jori and crew for making this happen.

I received my tracking. I am surprised that my order is shipping so quickly.

I hope everyone remembers HJE the other times of the year when you need tools.
