I did not. My best bid was $250. It went for $275, but there's not telling how high the winning bidder was willing to go.

BTW - You **** on that score!

Brian

Well I don't know if suckage is due since the varislow is missing it's controls... I will restore this Dp to its former glory with a few parts from Franklee ... If you need parts for your 1/2 block let me know as I will have some! I may be able to be bribed to trade the grinder sans the parts I need for some plomb tools !

Drill Indexes, Morse and National, unfortunately the National has a broken foot.
I would be making an artsy-fartsy wall hanging decoration out of that National. Way cool.

My thoughts about "Brazil" are that it's really cool and unusual, but then I would want to start collecting Brazil tools to put in it, and how difficult that would be. So I passed on it.
I totally get this. I have way too many empty boxes from even less obscure brands cluttering up my spaces to remind me when I start to slip...

Marty: Congrats on the baby Bullet.

Early early bird flea today...

The long 15* angle pattern DBEs are Barc-Buff "E" code and Armstrong, the machinists clamps are Brown & Sharpe 1-1/2" capacity, and the sprayer is a DeVilbiss Type MBCX 9701, last patent 2,060,894 (1936).

The harmonic balance pullers are OTC No. 915 and Herbrand 863. The little gear puller is rusty as hell, and the only reason I got it is because I couldn’t read the mfgr's logo. Haven’t gotten it home yet. I usually have a small can of WD-40 and a brush or pad with me, but I don’t right now. So this is the best I could do with spit and the corner of my shirt and a thumbnail.

Very fancy (gothic) script Gautage? Guanarge? Giturga? with model number 2529 U.S.A.

I keeping thinking I've seen this name before and I keep waiting for the lightbulb to go ping, but it's not.

Well I accidentally went shopping this morning. And came home with this Matco box. $125 with the contents. I really don't need it, and in fact I am having trouble finding room for it. But it was helping someone out and I did find a few tools I can use. I don't know anything about Matco, but it looks like a Waterloo box to me. Any info gladly accepted. I think the value is there though and I will be flipping it when the tools are sorted. Also got the parts drawers that I actually wanted.

Lug - I know how you feel. My lightbulb filament burned out long ago.
I tried to switch to a fluorescent bulb, but the color frequency was off.
My family has been trying to get me to convert to LED, but I'm not there yet.

Nice toolbox. Between that and the tools, you'll easily get your money back.

Speaking of which ............
I went on an eBay bender last weekend. 4 sellers, 5 wrenches. The boxes showed up in the mailbox today. My mail carrier must really hate me. One package weighed a little over 15#'s by itself. All Williams, only the big boy is from the SnapOn era. The prices weren't bad, which fed the madness. With shipping, the binge was a little over $100. Not a great deal, but good enough. The 2-1/2" can sell for more than that by itself. I can't repeat that this weekend, we've got HJE Day coming next week and I've got my eye on something with a green selector on it.

—Williams— #1197 2-1/2" combo
Williams/Vulcan XOEM-14 14mm combo
Williams/Vulcan XOEM-17 17mm combo

Williams (TRW) #1033A DOE 15/16" - 7/8"

Filling some holes in a few sets.
The picture is before cleanup. The wrenches are in better shape than they look right now.

Lug I can't get it either, but I think some chalk would bring that up a bit on the battery terminal puller...

Some enlargement and enhancement and the first character seems to be a shield with either a T or a cross in it? :dunno:

Here's something different, how about tools you own that you forgot you owned.

Not a Garage Sale find, but a tool I (re)-acquired. Father is on vacation with his wife and kids for a week so he asked me to go check in on garden and mow a patch of grass today, while there I poked around in the garage and found this, a Craftsman Made in USA scroll saw he bought me as a Christmas gift probably 15-20 years ago. Decided to bring it home with me, and even though it was used and abused by a 10-13 year old kid it still works fine, will need a small cleanup though.

Are you sure it's Wright ?
I thought that Vanadium Tool Co. was making wrenches for Cornwell until they bought them out in the 70's.
I could be wrong. :dunno:

Last week at our every Wednesday flea market, I bought this (USA) Blue Point two jaw puller (CG 250) for $3 bucks......(missing it's center button)

20170628_203354.jpg

......and at the time the guy said he had a bigger Blue Point puller, but after searching through his stuff, he said he must have left it at home.
I said to bring it next week (today) and I'd take a look at it.......When I got to his table this morning, he had it sitting in the trunk of his car waiting on me (Good Man )
He started out at $10  but after a little negotiation.....I got it and the 4 oz. Vaughn ball pein hammer for $8 bucks  (like I said: Good Man!!!)

Picked-up the OEM 36mm socket for $2.25 and found the Kobalt #2 Robertson/square driver on the ground near the men's restrooms.....fer free!!

That story brings back good memories. I had a similar but older model like that from Craftsman and it was my first real piece of equipment and a gift from my father. It made a huge impression on me at the time as a young kid and, gave a lot of pride that he trusted me with it. My first "real" machine. Give it a place of honor in your shop.

Hit one sale in a decent looking neighborhood in Detroit. The area was clean, nice kept houses and yards. The pics had shown a small toolbox and I was hoping it was there on day 2. It was so for $25 I got the box and contents which included a Williams S-52 ratchet,5 or 6 Williams impact sockets,Indestro wrenches,sockets,ratchet,extensions,1 Snap On socket, some SK's and a pair of channelocks.

Tomorrow there are a couple local sales that have the potential to be good on tools but could also be crowded and overpriced. Both are within 10 miles so not a big loss other than time possibly.

This was part of a large box of tools (~40lbs). Lots of Mac and Snap-on sockets, extensions, wrenches, and ratchets with a few S-K and Proto to boot. The Mac Screwdriver set was in the seat next to me so I snapped a photo. The rest are still in the trunk.

Paid $5.00 for the screwdrivers. $100 total for 40lbs of American made truck tools!

This morning's early bird haul...

20170630_093345_resized_zpshpruzbvm.jpg

The drive tools are Walden and Herbrand ratchets, Herbrand and Snap-On extensions, Indestro "L" handle, all 1/2-inch drive, all wartime. Miscellaneous sockets include Thorsen, Blackhawk, Snap-On (including a strange marking format I haven't run into before), Armstrong, Plomb WF, -D-I-, all 1/2-inch drive except a few 3/8-inch drive Plomb 54xx series.

The other tools are Barcalo angle nose pliers, Herbrand script tappet wrench, Blue-Point S-wrench, Union center gage, Plomb DBE, Williams ALLOY 8" and 12" SUPERJUSTABLE crescent wrenches, and a CRAFTSMAN-VANADIUM (geometric logo, JP Danielson made) 8" adjustable crescent wrench with a 1942 date code. Woot!

LESSER: my GJ pages are taking a long time to load currently so maybe just wait until later cause might just be a glitch, but could be an issue they are working on.

ALL: i have a plan for these, but not sure when that will happen. i picked up these 2 barber chairs that seem to work like they should. one is a little squeeky at the top so probably needs a bit of oil. anybody have one of these and want to tell me what oil or other maintenance is needed. i'm planning on putting a Reed 4c on one of them and not sure what i'll do with the other one.

Hit up an estate sale 30 miles away in Springhill LA because the pictures made it look good.

I saw a bunch of cans of Kano Kroil so I hoped they were cheap. Only $2 each but after a couple of us smelled them we all agreed they had been refilled with something else so I passed.

First day so full price, no haggling and some stuff was overpriced. I still spent $157, should make it back selling a couple of items on Ebay.

Pic 1: Craftsman and Sears, my favorites is the all metal small hammer which is Circle H along with the 3/8D sliding T-bar below it.

Pic 2: Top part is Williams, most with "IP" markings for International Paper which used to have a plant in town. There is one Vulcan wrench too along some S-K, Husky, Indestro and others.

Pic 3: From top, Stephen Walden Spin Tite nutdriver set, ACOA Cat No 4300 Armor Clip Bolt DBE wrench?, USA Petersen sheetmetal vise grips, Proto Challenger ratchet and socket, Klein red handle side cutters and a few other items.

Pic 4: A box of wire wheels had new Weiler wire wheels along with some good use ones, other items include a Craftsman Circle H speed handle, Collins hatchet, mini Master padlock with key and hammer handles from the closed Bruner Ivory company in Hope Arkansas.

Pic 5: Hanson number and letter punch sets, two Starrett No 85C caliper sets with 1950 brochures and a Starrett snap gage.

Pic 6: Sears 1992 big book, 3 Snap On / Blue point pullers and a Texaco oil can. I also had a General Electric paint thinner can but gave it to my buddy who used to work for GE.

Pic 7: After dropping off the GE can with my buddy we snuck off to another sale that had tools. Not much left but I picked up this Craftsman adjustable wrench and miter vise for picture frames for $20 total.

Edit, can't get pictures to load, will try later.

Yay, got the picture issue fixed! Re-sized the pictures from 4032 x 3024 to the next size smaller on my phone, 2880 x 2160 and they loaded.

Can't wait to see those pictures... IP had a big plant back home, once employed 3000 men at the mill and in the woodlands. My Grandfather worked there for 42 as a longshoreman at the wharf and on Mill maintenance his last few years. A lot of family's back home owe eveything to the CIP (Canadian International Paper) and/or NBIP (New Brunswick...) the mill closed down about 10 years ago now, but it's legacy will keep on living for a long time.

I've never seen any IP branded tools though, but that isn't to say other stuff didn't grow legs and walk out of the mill. Pretty sure any and all households up home have something that came from the mill.

Wish I could get over to some of them, but we're laying new flooring in the downstairs this weekend. There's only one sale near enough to my morning route today that qualifies as "on the way. It is also meh.

Yesterday morning it was raining, and to top it off I had to wait for the Uverse guy so I couldn't leave early in the morning to go to a sale...

Finally Uverse guy shows up... rain stops... I take my dog for a walk then head out...

Went to the one good estate sale, talked to the guys running it and they tell me I missed out on some really good stuff... Nice tools, some tool chests, etc, etc... ARGH! And these guys sell stuff CHEAP too. :(

I did manage to find a small pile of things, and as usual the things I dig up have no prices on them so he's looking at it all and comes up with $4.50... :) Will post pics later.

Hinsdale 1/2dr socket box, two 1/2dr Hinsdale specialty sockets, a 3/8dr Snap-on Penta security socket, a Wards 21/32 12pt socket (a mistake - there were two WWII-era 1/2dr DI sockets I meant to pick up), two Kraeuter does, dividers for parts, Goddell Brothers 1897pat spiral drill, Bonney stubby, Millers Falls stubby, H.Disston & Sons 1885pat saw set.
And another failed file upload on the pic. I didn't have this problem until yesterday. Seems to be back to treating all iPhone photos as one file name again.

Picked up these USA Craftsman 1/4 ratchets and a light with a sears roebuck tag on it. Paid $10 total. Can anyone tell me what tool this light was originally mounted to? I'm probably going to mount it to my band saw or drill press.

Nice find on those CMan ratchets, you ****!

Here's my $4.50 haul from yesterday...

Micro-torch & full vector brand can of butane. Been wanting one of these to light my charcoal chimney, a regular lighter can be a bear on a windy day. Also can use this in the kitchen to snazzy up some dishes... This is going to be put to good use for sure.

90% full can of denatured alcohol.

3 x Made in USA Brass/Nylon brushes with little clips on the end??? I've never seen these before, I have no idea why they would have a clip like that.

P&C 1/2" extension

Craftsman small phillips screwdriver

Big "TWO-FISTER" USA blade screwdriver

Reliance 1gal gas can, no spout though... :(

Nice haul! You got a great deal. You know the alcohol alone is worth that price.
I believe those brushes with clips are originally designed to attach to a D ring on your golf bag. The brushes are for cleaning the grooves on the face of your irons. Could also scrape crud out of your spiked golf shoes.

Looking good folks. Lots of nice finds.

A bit light at the flea today. Just two wrenches for $2, Craftsman and Herbrand.

DRIVES- those look like some mighty fine vise stands and vises
