Bosch T4 Miter Saw Stand $150 on clearance from $299.99

I stopped in at the Cherry Hill, NJ HD today to see if this had become a clearance item.
There were none in the miter saw stand display area on the floor. I asked one of the workers who told me that if it was not in the display area they did not have it. He checked his phone and said that the item is not carried in stores.

I told him that they have two in the overhead rack that I could clearly see. After they went up in the lift and confirmed what I had told them, they punched the sku into the phone and said that it was on clearance and that the price was $150. They were then very helpful in getting it down, assisting me through the cash register and loading it into my car. After military discount $135.

I've been watching this for awhile as they were reported as being on clearance in Florida on another board. I noticed that over the last couple of weeks, when I would check the inventory online for my local stores all had 2-4 of these in stock, then suddenly a store would be listed as not carrying this item. Yesterday, the HD website indicated that it is not carried at any store, which is why I went in today.

That's good to know.
All stores around me still snow 'available to pick up'. So I have to wait for a while.

oil free means no oil to resettle...;)

Apology meant to say the internal lubricant as they are pre lubed.

You may want to stand upright for a day or so in order for the internal lubricant to re-disperse.

That's why I said I had no knowledge. I wasn't sure if "oil free" meant what it sounds like, or if it just meant it was sealed, and you don't have to maintain the supply.

Sealed equal less maintenance. Good for home use, for commercial or long running applications oiled filled compressors are better, as they run cooler and oil can be added or exchanged as needed.

Sealed (oil free) compressor can have the lubricant break down over time causing wear on internal parts.

Now for those that say oil free is fine you maybe right but it will depend on application and how long you want to own it.

Also oil less are much louder than oil lube.

Does anyone know if the 46" husky will come down lower than 200$ if they aren't sold over the weekend?

Other than .02/.04/.03/.06 items, don't try to read into any HD pricing. Even the .06, etc. pricing, sometimes those will do weird things including going back up to regular price.

The pricing isn't logical at times and guessing where it will go is a guess. You can always buy it, don't open it, then wait and see where the pricing goes.

It's a pretty solid unit. Only thing that got me was the 52" mobile bench didn't come with drawer liners.

I have both the 52" 13-drawer chest/cabinet, as well as the 52" 11-drawer mobile bench, and very happy. Especially for the prices you can find around holidays!

Doubtful. These are a core SKU and carried year-round. The pricing for spring black friday is just that...a sale price. They move these at their regular price of 299 quite well, so unless they plan on discontinuing the item, the price will go back up after their sale.

Anyone have an extra Ridgid 18v trim router? I would trade for one of the Bosch 18v 4 1/2" angle grinders.

Not sure what price point you had in mind but I've seen them at one of the Twin Cities stores for $60 in the past two weeks. I don't need the grinder, but I can try to track one down if you're interested and want to pay shipping.

OK, thanks. That's what they were going for around my area, so the price is good, but all the stores are sold out, except one; which still has 23, but they're still holding firm at $119. If I don't have any luck trading I'll get with you.

Found 2 in the rafters after seeing the price on the PCA. I assume an employee got the other one. Must be discontinued old stock as I couldnt find it on the website after I got home.

Any odds of a picture of the box to help locate? This is a voodoo item at my local and PCA shows 1 in stock. I know its likely a phantom, but knowing what to look for helps.

Thanks in Advance!

Have a SKU#? I assume this is one with dedicated circuits.

I need a workbench ASAP. The 8' adjustable Gladiator with a maple top is $412. Anyone seen a better deal on this?

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Gladiato...ench-in-Hammered-Granite-GAWB08MTZG/204246906

It's 1 inch wider and the top is 1/2 thicker than the Husky version, which is $62 cheaper, so I still the Gladiator is a better product.

http://www.homedepot.com/p/HUSKY-8-ft-Solid-Wood-Top-Workbench-G9600-US1/207131346?

Damn I'd have a hard time giving $400 for that. I'd probably hit up CL & Habitat for an old solid core door first

Does it have to be 8' long? I'd also sooner get the Husky 60"x24" workbench/toolbox for $700.

But no, I have not personally seen either of your prospects, sorry.

edit: here's a write-up on the 60" Husky. Almost surely made by the same place as the Milwaukee 60", but the Husky is a true 24" deep while the Milwaukee is 22" deep.

Yeah, I mean, I know its smaller but the seville classics workbench from Sams is 72" x 25" and only $200. I could get 2 of those for cheaper than that gladiator bench.

Wait4me, I like the Seville UltraHD commercial work bench but it's not adjustable height and while it's probably stronger with the center leg, it's a foot shorter than the 8' Gladiator. I like that I could slide my 52" adjustable height Husky box/workbench underneath the open space of the 8' Gladiator, and also store other carts under there.

IGN, I like that Husky 60"x24" but I don't need another mobile toolbox at this time. That being said, I really like the Husky 52" adjustable adjustable height workbench box, and may eventually get another. I like the possibility of using the two benches as "sawhorses" to hold longer projects if need be. But I also like being able to sit at the bench with a stool and have space for my legs. The mobile boxes don't allow for this, but then again they provide storage. There are many tradeoffs to each choice.

I totally get your economical point about getting a used door and building my own bench, but I don't have time to build my own bench out of wood/salvaged materials right now. If I did, I'd probably go with BDbecker's **** Shack workbench design. My indoor desks are simple doors painted white straddling two 2 drawer file cabinets. That's worked fine for me for the past 25 years.

I havent seen the gladiator workbenches on sale very frequently. They seem to hold their prices pretty well until they get clearanced or discontinued.

I scrounged up a pair of 6ft benches at $275/ea, and that was 50% off. At sears.
