It pays to walk around the appliance / flooring area... Employees print out price tags to update during their shift... Can often give you a head's up on new clearance items and also penny items...

I doubt this vanity is a penny in other stores, every store has different stock of those things and such... Just using it as an example... I found it but did not bother getting it, weather was about to rain outside and my garage is a mess and didn't feel like having to move things around for something I don't really need or want to deal with.

Found a 25lb bucket of 3" deck screws up in the overhead racking today. Had the old style label(thanks for that ID trick!). Had someone pull it down and took to the self checkout, range up for $25.03.

Not the awesome penny deal but much better than the usual $96.
Pretty sure I looked there last week and they weren't there so keep looking!

Forgot to mention I saw these wire drawer things for 75% off... They were on an endcap at the back of the store. They came with hardware to mount in a shelf... Don't know if they are meant for one of their shelving systems or just a DIY if you are lucky to have some the same width as needed...

Had a bunch of the Arrow Wire/Cable fastening staplers 75% off, but the insulated staples for them were almost full price... :lol:

The Husky compact impact display model was still sitting there and I was going to ask them if they would sell it till I saw the serial number... Figured I would pass as one way or another I would end up injuring myself and blame it on the evil demon impact... haha...

A lot of Stanley rivets are marked down. They are close to those staples in previous post.

Did not notice them in my store, and I usually see those yellow tags from halfway down the isle.. I'm like a clearance hawk in my HD... :lol:

But I will keep an eye out, my store is usually a little behind the curve on marking things down. Thanks!

Found another 25lbs of green 2.5 deck screws, no price. Ran them through with some lumber and they were $.01, would not sell, associate took them away, didn't even offer for .03 pricing even though I told them I bought same quantity yesterday for .03 pricing, same store. So now I know my local HD won't do penny sales.

I did see a pex accessory sitting on the cart with all the labels for .01, wonder if that went on the shelf.

The Motorola camera & Netatmo Presence & Welcome (no pic) stuff was marked down today to .03 pricing. Lot of cooler stuff at $.06 pricing.

I know the Husky hutch was posted, but it went from $139 to $138.06, to give some an idea when it might next drop.

Also got a True Temper 2-wheeled wheel borrow for $45.04, half off. Too nice to risk not getting at a later time. Need to find the receipt for the sku

That's what I figured, was curious how this store would handle it.
Had some lumber so couldn't go through self check.
Know where another bucket is and might try again later thru self check.

That's why those people are there to watch self checkout, they can scan the lumber and then you go back to the screen.



Scored a bunch of trailer lights for cheap today.

Snagged another penny 25lb bucket of screws. Another tip for these is to look in the lumber section. They have a stand alone display for deckmate screws and there's buckets stored there too. That's where i found this last one.

This store also still have all the reese/trailer accessories still on the shelf that appeared to be at final markdown price.

it may or not matter to you, but if those cameras are like the other Nest products, they will only work while a WiFi internet connection is present. if they can't reach the internet, they won't work.

personally, i won't use video cameras (or anything else, for that matter) that might be transmitting stuff to who knows where at any time . . . . .

you can avoid the computer issue by using VPN to connect somewhere else so that it appears that your connection comes from there. you can avoid spyware by being careful. leaving your computer turned off, not asleep, also helps.

your phone is inherently trackable, whether it is a landline or a cell phone. if you are concerned about it, buy a throw away cell phone and monthly phone card from walmart, paying cash.

Bought 7 5 pounders @$6.43 and 1 @penny. They did not say anything. This was found in lumber also.

My HD has the Netatmo indoor security camera with facial recognition 75% off...

Saw they had this big tripod sprinkler for $10.03

5/8" x 75' Waterworks (Made in USA) hose was also 75% off @ 9.03, supposedly lifetime warranty. It looked okay quality, but heck $9 for a 75' foot hose isn't a bad deal.

Finally saw the 3/8" Husky butterfly impact wrench 25% off at $30.06

Went to a different HD today that was further away while going to some estate sales. They had lots on clearance, nothing I needed... No penny items to be found. Did find some 1lb boxes of nails for $4 each, but after getting 50lb for free I don't really need anymore.. lol.

I did check the lumber area at both stores and they already swapped out the little display to all new nails.

The butterfly impacts were $10 last year. Then they jumped back up to regular price. They did the same thing with the 3" cut off wheel, and now they seem to be doing it again with the stubby impact, some stores clearancing them, others have them at the new low price of $114...? When it comes to Husky air tools you never know what they are going to do.

Bought my first penny deal today, deckmate screws, thanks for this thread guys!

Took the 2nd old style 25lb bucket of green 2.5" screws to the self checkout this time along with a small regular item I needed. Rang up at .01 and no intercept!

This along with the 25lbs of 3" for $25.03 a few days ago really helps out.

Well, my penny run luck finally ran out...

Tried to get a vanity for a friend fixing up a house (that really is dirt poor). Guy checked his handheld and saw it was a penny and was very polite saying he couldn't sell it to me for that but he could for the last sale price. Last sale price was like ~$100.03, and I told him my friend really has a minimal budget and if he could do any better. He called someone and said he could come down to $50 (for an originally priced $500 vanity). I texted my friend but never heard back so for now it's in limbo. I don't know if they will pull it down or let it sit, there's already a ton of vanity's and cabinets and stuff sitting on the ground at clearance prices...

Nothing new to report, was pretty busy this weekend, lots of people buying plants and outdoor stuff....
