There is a new SKU for the 8-gallon models, but the box looks identical to the old one. Stores might not be clearacing out the old models until they receive the new ones too...

Huh, just saw both of those at my local HD, the 2 gallon wasn't marked to twenty and the 8 gallon was listed at full price.

Did the ones you saw have the free accessory kit? Saw plenty of the new 8 Gallon, but they didn’t have the accessories. That’s what made the pennies so easy to spot, and why I was shocked they were still there. The new ones also have a 150psi rating, as opposed to 135.

Re: 2018 Home Depot Clearance Thead

Last one cost me 250 (a bit ago, other sku, same 8gal gas compressor), so made about $200+ after taxes. This is on my way to work, so nothing but 10min of my time. Going to list at $600 this time and see if I get bites. These come out to ~$400 post tax, so I would take an easy hundred or two. Between the housing boom in Denver, and the hail damage, roofing crews are booked out over 7-8months in advance.

Because it is gas powered, price match is only good for 30 days, not 90. But will watch to see if I can get some extra back too.

Considering your post count over the previous 15 months has included a grand total of one joke-deal of ceramic pigs at 19.98, how about be glad people post deals in general? I did the legwork, found the price, listed the item and sold it, and chose to share experiences. If $100 for 5min of internet work isn't worth it to you, fine. But don't complain because you don't see a deal worth your time.

Those Gorilla work platforms are great, I got one on Black Friday. They have several models, what's the one you found for a penny?

It looks like the 250lb model that was $20 on BF (I got one of those too)... I think the 300lb model has more black plastic moldings on various places.

It's the one Whiskey Tango posted, the 300lbs model. The one with more black plastic around the corners is the normal one on sale now. I think it has adjustable legs for different heights.

Hhhmmm, just re-read my post, didn't see any complaining? I misread the CL part, thought you made under $100 on it.

I have posted a decent amount of deals, for some reason, my post are deleted, so I just quit posting. Kind of like you. What, that last deal you posted was July 17 on those compressors and some BS husky air ratchet...?!! But thanks for caring enough about me to check me out!!

Orlando Store on Alafaya 32828 has 5 of these compressors in the tool chest area. Checked the price and they are coming up as $20.

Re: 2018 Home Depot Clearance Thead

Went to my HD today for some garden stuff, decided to check on the compressors and other items recently mentioned... No such luck... I think those little 2-gal wern't even on clearance, or maybe they were .06 price and zero inventory. I haven't seen them at my store anyhow but always worth looking in the PCA.

Didn't really have too much time to dig around looking for deals anyhow, have a project I need to get finished today outside before I run out of daylight...

The penny vanity is still up high... so maybe there is some hope I'll be able to grab it one of these days. I'm surprised he didn't pull it down to re-tag with all the other clearance ones.

I noticed a lot of Oregon chainsaw chains & bars at .06 pricing the other day. Didn't have time to check the PCA but they've been like that for quite a while.

Still all .06 around me. Was hoping to pick up a spare for my Echo.

I vaguely recall seeing previous reports of that BS being from the NY/NJ area (I could be wrong), and I see you're in/near IL, so your report might mean another regional manager has picked up that attitude. :(

Re: 2018 Home Depot Clearance Thead

I spoke to a cashier in the pro area as she was the only one there and eyeballing me as I looked around a bit. She could be misinformed or perhaps that's just their SOP, no idea. I may give it a go when the pro desk guys are actually there but most of those people seem to get pretty defensive in my experience.

Ive had good luck using the computer at my closest HD. The employees scarf up all the deals though. Once in a blue moon I get lucky. I don't really try any more.

Re: 2018 Home Depot Clearance Thead

Yeah I went around my entire HD looking for deals/discounts and found nothing. I did find one drill that the box was opened and rummaged through and looking it had no price. Went up to SCO to get a price and it was still $91. It seems in Illinois there are never any deals lol. Looking at all these deals, I can never rind any in Illinois sadly. I'll keep my eyes peeled though.

Does not show on hd.com may be a penny.

If it does not show on hd.com, you can generally google home depot 569049 or whatever the sku is and you can find it is still there.

Re: 2018 Home Depot Clearance Thead

Since there is a Lowe's and Home Depot Thread running dual with each other, I posted this in the Lowe's Thread and it should be asked here too for full audience..

I was at Lowe's today looking at Werner mutliladder/extension ladders. There was a Werner 22 MT-series I was thinking of getting so I have to ask:

Are these ladders safe when fully extended?? Because they look ****-puckery when they are fully extended IMHO (like the joint would give way and collapse). My problem is I want a nice 20'+ extension ladder but the pickup bed is only 6' and I need to be able to transport it.

What do you do when you need to reach decent heights but need to transport the ladder in a 6ft truck bed?

IM

Thank you.

[Werner ladder question]

Thank you.

I did a lot of research about those Little Giant-style multi-position ladders, from multiple brands/stores, last fall (a relative was thinking about getting one; he just decided not to spend the money, no safety concerns). I don't remember seeing any brands have any complaints about them collapsing like that (I don't remember every detail, but I think that would've been memorable).

They should be safe in the most-extended form within the specified weight load limit (and are designed with a significant safety margin above that). They come in several strengths/load ratings for the same size of ladder, with the tradeoff that the higher-load ones are heavier to move around. Most people will need assistance to get it up against the wall/roof after fully extending it on the ground, even with the lower-load versions, at that length.

Home Depot's Gorilla brand is worth looking at too. I don't know what kind of deal you were looking to be getting on the Werner at Lowe's, but a Gorilla 22ft is often $99 at HD.

I think the Werner MT-series 22ft was around $180. Werner is well-know, don't know about Gorilla. The werner was 300lb rating.

Here it is, $99 sale right now off of $159 (part of "Spring Black Friday") for 22ft model with 375lb rating: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Gorilla...city-Type-IAA-Duty-Rating-GLA-MPX22/300330222

The Gorilla ladders are pretty new, but seem to be very well-made and well-liked. (That particular model has gotten 1,104 reviews on homedepot.com in a little over a year.)

Edit: Oh, and even better, if you find any of the MPX22W model (same as above link but comes with wheels for moving it around easier when folded up) at your store, people are saying those ring up $99 too.

Re: 2018 Home Depot Clearance Thead

I don't know what is up with them switching between Werner & Gorilla at the stores... I have an older Gorilla Ladder, love it and it works great, knobs and such are basically like what you see on the Werner's just a little different styling. Looks like the new Gorilla models have larger buttons and such.

Oh, don't forget about those extra brackets, I don't know if they are included or sold separately. But it allows you to basically convert them into two short ladders to use as a raised platform / scaffolding. ;)
