Some stores don’t have any computer facing out, and some store employees don’t allow people to use these computers to check price.

The computers are on spinning stands... turn them around and use it. If asked... Using the computer to access Home Depot website. If they have an issue, ask them to call corporate as that is why those computers are there like in 95% of the stores.

My HD remodeled and took away all public computers. You need to get lucky in the appliance or window sections. *****

I just had the same thing happen with some 5 pound boxes of screws. I tried at the PCA and it locked the screen, so I took them to the register and it wouldn't scan there either.

I just found two more of the 25 pound buckets of 2 1/2" screws today and they rang up a penny without any issue. So it looks like it's ymmv.

Question about these penny screws.. I found two old boxes (cardboard) of #25 2 1/2” screws with the old sku number, but they still rang up as $100. What gives? Some stores just override the old sku? Even searching the price checker all deckmate screws were normal price.

Quite possibly... Mine had all the 1lb & 5lb boxes in the clearance section at a .00 price until they all sold. I was just lucky to find the two 25lb in the very back of the shelf that they missed.

I never died see 25 pound cardboard around here. Some store play a game and reprice stuff instead of selling at clearance prices. Their favorite deal now is 00 to try to sell thru it. Milwaukee had 43 items on pca and only 2 items not at 00.

One was cardboard, one was old plastic and clearly the old packaging. I think my local store simply overrode the UPC and put the item back to normal price. The UPC on the new and old don't match, but they ring up the same price.

RV and Gen set adapters not sure I'd use them for anything long term but could be useful in a pinch.

strange, did they swap the boxes or something? did the UPC look like they stickered on or something? i found some that i thought were pennies as well. seemed someone printed off a different sku, tapped it on there? very strange.

Nope, it was the original UPC. Items had the same SKU, but difference UPC and rang up at the same price. I don't want to blow up the thread with non-deal talk, so I'll stop now!

Not sure if it has been posted in here but I didn't see it.

DeWalt MAXFIT 63 piece Screwdriving Set
SKU 1002466695
Model# DWA2SLS63ND
UPC 885911534642
$3.83

Two of my nearby locations show 2 on hand and 16 on hand, but couldn't track any down. Both locations haven't sold any since fall of 2017.

In the past, I’ve found similar clearance items that just hanging on vertical displays in the middle of random aisles. You have to check them all, but start with the ones located near the lumber area.

Also check all the displays near the pro-desk.

If the store that’s showing 16 actually has them, they’re likely still in the box they were shipped in. Search the overhead for boxes from Dewalt and then try to locate the SKU/Model number on the box.

Also check the bigger boxes with a bunch of SKU’s (written or printed labels) on them.

Yep, i searched all over for them. I’m guessing they (the 16) are in a cardboard box, behind other boxes. As for the 2, who knows. Either stolen or misinventoried or something. Could have wound up in a cardboard box with other similar DeWalt bits.

Picked up the Milwaukee Fuel Gen 1 Blower (2728-21) kit with the 5.0 battery and charger for 112 today. The same deal was available at multiple Home Depots in the New Orleans and Baton Rouge area.

Just found this forum (might I say, I am very excited to find it)

Assuming the clearences people post will not come up on a local search,

IE: The DeWalt maxfit show full price, and multiple other I searched via the webpage.

Will the discounts show if we search or will it only show on the PCA

Thank you

That’s correct. The only way to look up clearance prices is to use the PCA in a store.

Purchased WAY to early!!

There are several different categories of members on here, and we must all learn to get along. We all choose to avoid overpaying for tools and other equipment we need, but we don't all value that to the same extent. If you have the freedom to spend an hour or two every day searching for discounts, more power to you; but there is no need to talk down to people that choose not to do that.

The premise of forums in general is to share information and help each other, not to discourage or insult people. The objective here should be to help each other save money on tools and supplies for projects. If people save money, that's great, if they could save more, by putting forth more time and effort, that's a good opportunity but it's not for everyone.

Finding the balance between time/effort and money saved is the key, and that is done on an individual basis. Let's simply do what we can to help each other, and leave it at that.
