Well turns out I found 2 of the honda 2800's for $599. Which is great, but I wanted the 2200.
Does anyone know if I took a clearance sku sticker to a non clearance store would it work? IDK sounds pretty sketchy, not to mention maybe it qualifies as theft? Plus the isle info doesn't match but otherwise doesn't appear to have any store identifiers.

Be sure to report back, and let us know how much you saved, after bail, legal fees, and whatnot.

Well, it turns out it worked just fine. Store had 4 in stock. KILLER Deal!!!

Christ guys, never dealt with so many negative nancy's. Posed a questions for some feedback. I thought HD was universally clearancing these out and maybe some stores were siting on putting out the stickers.

In any case. NO I didn't do the deed, but was curious if that is something the forum though was feasible and/or legal. (which I'm still not sure of, leaning towards NO)

If the associates scans it at a penny with the handheld, they are suppose to take it. I had that happen.
I understand that could be a problem. But my main question was something else.

I purchased tide once. PCA had clearance price ($4.53 or something) but register scanned $0.01. I'd be curious to know what price handheld would show, the PCA price or the register price. *IF* handheld *always* shows PCA price, then there's no risk asking an associate for help:)

Tekton 1/4-3/4 in. Flex-Head Ratcheting Combination Wrench Set with Pouch (9-Piece)

$22 - online only (Regular price $78.57)

In stock as of now

Credit goes to former forum member ItsFriday

Thanks! For that price I picked up 2 sets. One as a spare set for me and one to add to my daughter's growing tool collection. (She is in high school and my goal is to make her self sufficient. She will be able to change her own tire, even if it gets her cheerleading uniform dirty.) Still in stock 8/30/2020 at 5pm EST

Thanks for posting those wrenches came back in stock. A little wishful thinking but I would be thrilled if that 1/4 socket set came back too not that I really need it anyways.

Wish I saw this earlier, that's their top of the line model for HF grinder money.

A lot of the Home Depot's around me renovated and took away most of the price checker pc's. Before, I found several of the deals on there as they were in over stock and not marked on the shelf. I haven't been walking around as much lately due to the covid so its much harder to find the deals.

Lately a lot of the yellow tags I see are marginal discounts. A buck off isn’t much to be excited about . I have been refreshing that direct link to the clearance items every day though. It’s like a slot machine now. [emoji3]

I lost one before Covid, and one during. Another store still has theirs, but it a bit of a hike. Maybe, maybe not.

more disturbing, is 2 different stores clearance end caps are no longer designated that, and were filled with toilet paper & other sanitation productions. and feels like less clearance at other stores in general. might be the season, might be in shift in business practices (due to covid?)

These Hi-Vis 2-packs are down to $3 and change in store.

Also some dremel accessories. The blower accessory is $1.03 and the collet wrench is $1.83. yep nothing great.

Yes. At the end of the workshop there is an opportunity to enter your email address for the 15% off code to be emailed to. It came right away.

Note: only the XL size was $3 at my local store. They had plenty of other sizes but were full price.

Forgot to include a picture with my last post, but I saw a Wagner Sidekick marked down to the low 60s. Ended in .00, so not sure how fast it may drop. I have one, and it does wonders for being able to paint large rooms quickly. The combination of no trays, and no time spent rolling the brush to get paint on it makes it so much faster, and the Sidekick will accept painting poles in the end. Cleanup is actually pretty easy and painless, jist let it run in a bucket of soapy water for 15min.

I have a couple stores near me selling the Makita X2 Miter saw for sale for $300. Great deal on a great saw. I have one from two years back at $260 or I would jump on it.

https://brickseek.com/home-depot-inventory-checker/?sku=302255047

Thanks for the heads up! I grabbed one today, I had to drive to 4 different HD to find one(all within 45mins of my house) but I grabbed one for $300. I had $200 left on a 1K HD gift card, so it really only cost me $100. Worth the drive and the savings.

FYI to anyone else.
Don't use the HD website as a live inventory update. They listed zero in stock at that particular store, but the above website brickseek.com showed two in stock. Which they had.
Also they didn't even have any Makita miter saws on display anywhere, I gave a store associate the UPC number and he looked it up for me.
The one store had 5 in stock but they were priced at $600 on sale, meanwhile the HD 15 mins up the road had two on clearance for $300.

Too bad they don't give live inventory updates on clearance products.

gfb: How hard was it for the HD clerk to locate the actual item in the store? I keep getting burned by incorrect online inventories (HD and/or BS show them in stock, but none can be located when I go to the stores).

HD intentionally deflates the numbers they show online to help account for theft and other misplaced product. Unsure how brickseek gets their numbers.

It takes leg work man. The employees are in general completely useless. Most times they check the online link lol I have to emphasize to check the in store inventory. But even items that say zero stock (through PCA and brickseek) can occasionally still be found in rafters or in the wrong location.

Recently I was looking for the makita x2 sawzall for $150 and they in store inventory said no more. I looked all over the rafters with no luck. As I was leaving the store I saw one randomly among the impact wrench and battery display near the front of the store. Just takes some time to look.

That wouldn’t surprise me, but it definitely makes sense.
Good luck walking out the door with a big *** miter saw box lol.
Though when the alarm does goes off, people just keep walking....

I gave him the UPC number which had to give him the location, because he found it immediately. It wasn’t in the power tool department though. It was up in the rafters over by the plumbing section. All of these HD stores are not organized to say the least though.
The first HD I went to, I spoke to the store associate and gave her the UPC number. It showed one in stock, but she couldn’t find it in the power tool department rafters. It was probably up in the rafters in another department. It didn’t cross my mind to look around the store during my first pit stop.

Lesson learned next time.

Yeah...

As I mentioned here a few weeks/months ago, what walks out the doors is mind boggling. They know they can't safely stop people without putting employees and customers in danger, so we all just have to pay for the loss (higher prices).

They have begun to put more expensive, popular tools behind cages, even in suburban stores.
