Whoa, that's a great discount on the power washer! Where'd you find that?

So does anyone think these actually should have been $11 retail? I dont understand why these are priced so high at MSRP.

They are $11 lights with Hyper-Tough or any other name on them. The additional price when Milwaukee is slapped on them is from a bygone era when Milwaukee used to make quality tools.

The batteries alone are worth $11 to me. I have other (better) Milwaukee lights that use these batteries, so the lights were just icing on the cake for this price. I do agree that these lights should have been closer to $25 - they are WAY overpriced at original MSRP.

I'm seeing them for $18.97 at my local HD with none in stock and my only option being ship to home or ship to store.

They are in store clearance only. None of these "deals" are online... Pull up some of the older HD deals threads and look into how their system works. Got to put in legwork to get lots of these deals.

Those are nice, but SIX AAA batteries???

Mike

You can get a 4-pack of Panasonics, or a 6 or 8 pack of e-circuit batteries for $1 at Dollar Tree. Last time i was there I got $5 worth of batteries and will have enough for awhile.

Hard to beat that price! How do they compare to Duracell or Energizer?

AA not AAA

Thanks for catching and correcting that!

1000% agreed, as long as the batteries can be removed/replaced.

When the boys were young, we had a battery-operated swing, sucked down 4 D-cells at a time. I bought rechargeables (and a charger), but I haven't seen those in a while. And, that was only as good as remembering to charge them, LOL. I think we had two sets of batteries, so one set was always in the charger.

Anyone interested might want to grab one early. I got one Wednesday and my local store sold out Thursday.

You can order for ship to store, or buy two and have it shipped to your house for free.

Wow, that's an incredible deal, thanks guys!

Not available within 100 miles of my location, but patience is my friend, LOL...

Went to HD tonight (outside of Boston,
MA), found a few things...

First is a Milwaukee impact bit set. Not Clearance, but was 40% off, and I needed it. Would have bought a bigger set, but those were all at regular prices.

In the Clearance section, it was hit and miss.

Echo PAS edger at 42% off. Unfortunately, these aren't universal, but if you have an Echo PAS system, that's a great deal.

Last thing is an electrical box, but I'm bewildered by what they're trying to do here. As you can see, there's a yellow price tag, and the steel box is crushed inside of the cardboard box. But, this price ($51.28) is HIGHER than the normal online price ($48.84) for the box, which appears to currently be on sale online for $41.02!!!

Like most stores, the online HD and the B&M HD are two separate businesses, so it is not unusual to have pricing differences between two businesses.

I didn't know they were separate businesses. That makes zero sense to me as a customer, especially since most times, the price on the website is the price on the shelf. Not a good look if you have to look online to see if their store is ripping you off.

I didn't go looking in the store to see if they had any of those boxes at a different price.

They aren't separate businesses, but they treat them as such. Most retail is treated that way (best buy, target), though like you said, makes zero sense. My argument is always, what stock ticker does that other business trade under? oh, the same one, you don't say.
While I understand for inventory purposes, I don't not for customer satisfaction. Yes there will be discrepancies, but as a mgr, just realize what is happening and make it easy for the customer

Price changed on the rollers while I was at the store, but the tag was still up, so an easy fix for them.

Most online stores with B&M locations are set up as separate businesses, for tax and liability reasons. That's one reason some B&M stores won't accept online returns.

People used to complain a lot about Sears in this regard, they would see an item online for pickup at a store, go to the store to buy it, and not be able to find it. Since the online and B&M are separate businesses, they have separate and different inventory. At least HD is a little more customer-friendly in this regard, they still maintain separate inventories but transfer the inventory as required behind the scenes so it is transparent to the customer.

I went to buy a Milwaukee knotted wire wheel for a 4.5” angle grinder from the clearance isle and the register said .01 cent. I thought I was going to get a good deal. Then the checker lady called the manager and had a private discussion with some other girl claiming to be a manager and they said they could not sell the item to me. I was a little po’d.

you should have a penny or gift card at the ready. once you checkout it is yours. and arguably if it is in your hand while shopping it is tentatively yours, because it was on the shelf, you are supposed to be able to buy it.
Employees that have a Karen flair badge will tell you no, and ones that realize it will end up in the trash compactor, will let you buy it.

I had a low level tell me I couldn't buy a penny, then his supervisor, and then I explained to the manager that if they weren't supposed to sell it, the MET team or employees should have pulled it. He saw it my way. Since they didn't do their job properly, the customer wins. It's not like this is repeating every day, so in reality the store should just let it go.

Originally I think they went for close to if not more than $20.00. It might have even been stainless but I can’t recal. Oh anyway it’s water under the bridge. Besides I get enough good deals and discounts on other tools all the time that I figured it’s probably best if I don’t go making any problems and drawing attention to my self. I don’t want to be that guy.

Did it have a price on it when you went to the register? I don't totally understand this concept of pennying out but it sounds much safer to take it to the self checkout when this is the case.
