^^^^ This. 3bay, if you got all that and from your story I can't imagine how many tools were at that sale. Great finds and yes You ****!
Like you I occasionally run into some very strange people at the sales and luckily they seem to be the exception rather than the rule around here.
There were quite a few tools. Probably good I didn’t have more cash. Lots of mobile kits of cheaper stuff made up for junkyard or lending out it seemed like. There was a whole big briefcase kit, so I was thinking Xcelite and that, but it was pieced together junk tools and moldy.
It’s been a while since I hit a sale as it opens. Don’t get to too many here, almost forgot how frustrating and competitive the crowd can be.
I miss quite a few of the old characters from there! Also the lining up and small talk/ballbusting. Always those same first few guys on the sign up sheet, and then about 16 names of people who don’t exhist, just to buy them some shopping time,LOL. ”Barb and Dan? Barb and Dan?Barb and Dan, are you here?”. Meanwhile the whole porch and lawn full of people are ready to wring someone’s neck if they don‘t get on with it and call the next name.
I really miss those basements just packed with every old tool imaginable, the old timers who had one or more of everything. Ahh the good old days.
