Please post your tool truck sightings, thanks.
I've recently seen a Cornwell truck sitting in a driveway of some home is Alsip near 111th. St.MAC truck off of Fullerton and Addison. He was hiding behind a machine shop parked next to an auto body shop.
Saw a Snappy truck heading west on Lake Street just east of Mannheim which is totally new for me. I think it’s the same guy that services the area east of 25th along North Ave.
All this is in the Chicago burbs. Still have never seen a Cornwell truck.
My Matco dealer had some time on Friday so we chatted for a bit. It’s not pretty out there for drivers. He said trucking is stabilizing but it’s down and now his auto guys are reeling from geopolitical decisions. He told me he has been really struggling the past few months and he’s the only Matco guy for the whole area. The Snap-on guy essentially said the same thing a couple of weeks ago. Inventory on the trucks are piling up as far as I can tell while the HF has never been busier. My Snap-On driver is selling his route. I get a feeling these next few weeks are the last I’ll be seeing of a tool truck for a while LOL
I do have a Matco dealer who lives a mile from my house though. I see his truck frequently
Same. Cornwell dealer in West Caldwell, NJI've recently seen a Cornwell truck sitting in a driveway of some home is Alsip near 111th. St.
In general here, if the area code is an AZ atea code, it wouldn't make most folks second guess a thing.Saw a Snap-on truck driving north on Rt. 13 in Ithaca NY today. Interestingly, the phone number on the side had a Syracuse area code.
