Just out of curiosity (and pardon my ignorance) what would be the purpose of this? to be able to apply more torque to your 1/4 ratchet?
Please someone tell me how somebody put 3/8 guts in a 1/4 ratchet body. Now I have a few 3/8 drive 1/4 inch bodies but the only differance is the drive size

the person who did it had a tiny head 3/8 drive thats what I need turbo+downpipe+s10 engine bay= no fricking room
thats the 3430 wright? pun intended just ordered one under 30.00 to my door

The Wrights are about the smallest I've seen yet.
FWI: Harry Epsteins can order you one and ship it to you.

For list price, or a discount of some kind?

Quattrojon can get them in...
I can't say for sure off the top of my empty head. Member wantabiggergarage(spelling?) has had dealings w/ Epsteins on the Wrights.
EDIT. I found a thread at another site.
3430 $28.85
I would guess there would be some shipping charges too.
This dates from July. I can't imagine the price going up too much since.

A friend of mine has a Snap-on 3/8 ratchet with 1/2" guts.Said he got it in the early 70's.
How about a Proto-1/2"dr,3/8 body:

I am not sure if anyone actually makes one that way but it is a very common thing to do. You can just order a 1/2" drive rebuild kit from most places and just put the guts into a 3/8" drive ratchet. I have done it with Proto,New Britain etc.does anybody else make a 3/8 ratchet body with 1/2 drive.
