Stone the sharp corners of the carbide edge, sorry to be unclear. Those can leave some ugly scratches (btdt on non critical stuff). It is expensive, and the shank needs rust prevention when you get it, its just low carbon mild. But, you can either make (braze to steel) or buy another carbide and sharpen it in a negative rake arc and do some actual machine scraping should you find yourself into that someday! Its also useful for scraping gaskets of flanges and cylinder heads, etc, anywhere you don't want to use abrasives.
Razor blade is probably OK too, but it will dull faster than the square carbide, but then again you can buy lots of razors for 1 scraper
