Looks like you will go back to work for a break. It looks like you have been very busy.
Great progress 1/2 Cup! Love that fabrication bench. Jealous of your time off, I could use some of that!
Man, 2 weeks off is nice. Enjoy it. I just had 12 days off and got a jump on some projects but still didn't seem like enough time off to finish stuff but any day in the garage is better than work.

Having been there I can tell you I am waiting to see the final results.
Wow, looks like you've been busy since the last time I dropped in. The fab table still makes me drool and those carport brackets look great. Is steel relatively inexpensive there, or do you have an outlet for cutoffs and such? That much metal would cost me an arm and leg here in Arizona.
HOTFR8, we have been looking forward to update the carport for a while now and I am hoping it turns out ok.

I do recall you telling me that when I visited and left you the insulators.
Amen, Brother Ben! Ain't it the truth.... Sigh....I am pretty pleased with how things are going, I don't know wether I will want to go back to work, having too much fun..
Nice welds Steve, they almost look like you used the tig, keep up the great work. Lee

Its a great feeling walking out of work with the prospect of doing what you want and when you want for two weeks, no emails, phone, staff issues, project deadlines.![]()
Welcome to my world 1/2 cup
It's like 6 saturdays a week
We have our fingers crossed hoping Mrs. Cup approves the new welding machine!!!
I wouldn't have any trouble filling my days in I can assure you...

I fully understand 1/2 Cup, I would never be bored either - as well as the projects that I want to work on, there's always that infinite "to do" list.![]()
I tend to put them all on the one list anyway, wether that be replacing a tap washer, cleaning the range hood, exhaust fans or working in the shed it really doesn't matter. Yesterday I was cleaning windows while Mrs 1/2 Cup was down in Geelong and still got that same sense of satisfaction when you finish a project.
Regards..
Totally argee. You may hate the task, but getting it knocked out always gives me that sense of satisfaction.
I have to agree it is always great at the end of the day to know you have completed or accomplished something you have been wanting to do.![]()

Good statements. Where were you guys when I was cleaning and laying on fresh deck sealer Monday and Tuesday in the 92F weather? It barely dried before the monsoon set in!!
(Maybe I should have mentioned a case of Killian's Irish Red in the ice?)

True story..![]()
That valve refacer looks like it would of been a great score Steve, you usually don't see them with a cabinet. Did you end up purchasing anything interesting?
WOW that Black and Decker valve machine and cabinet would have been snapped up here. $300 not bad for that if someone wanted to spend the restoration time on it. That somebody just could be me!! I have looked at twice now and I am in the market for something pretty special. Nice item, and I can see why you thought about it.
Best Regards
