1/2 cup check out the engine lift load leveler I just finished building. I was able to put a 289 V 8 with four speed trans. in the mustang with this without making a scratch on the paint. I know you'll want to build one! Don't you just hate/love having too many projects? Bobby

Got the PM, and yep, that's a great price.
Helps me set the sizing now for a woodworking toolbox/stand that I have been planning in order to fit in a wooden toolbox made by my Grandfather, for my father's 21st birthday (he turned 80 this year). I've been drawing it and assembling plans in my head for some time now
. The toolbox was built in the workshop at the Everleigh Railway workshop in 1956 (3years before I came into being) and I want to honour it in some way.Thanks for the info. I love what you can get from GJ.

I figured its timely to look ahead at the projects I have in mind for the next 12 months includes but is certainly not limited to the following:
Carport / Storage Solution.
Roof and guttering. COMPLETED!
Carport ceiling. COMPLETED!
In ground grated gutter system. COMPLETED!
Concrete. - to be contracted out - that's one thing I don't touch. CHANGE OF SCOPE – BLUE STONE INSTEAD.

Electrical fit off. COMPLETED.
Brick column and front wall. SCHEDULED -2016
Priority project
Household.
Split A/C replacement. - Work in progress - Have A/C. COMPLETED!

So I count 19 completed and seven work in progress or as yet to be completed projects so the tick from that 'to do' list must feel good 
. The Blue stone and Brick recovery all sound very interesting and when time permits (you make it sound like you are very busy all the time and that is a great feeling for many of us) I am sure we all want to see just how you plan to use the Blue stone and the Bricks.
I often struggle with a few projects at the same time but you have had 27
on the go and I know from your work you have many work projects as well.
. 1/2, I figure you're the Walt Disney of work benches. I can't tell you how cool the drawings are, contrasted with the final product. Refreshing craftsmanship!
thank you very much for your kind words.I usually like to do a concept sketch with most of the projects I do, they are fairly raw to say the least and just show the bigger picture of what I have in mind.
The micro detail gets worked out along the way as I progress through a bench build, I just find it easier this way rather than spending hours getting down to the nth degree before you do the first cut.
Most issues are sorted along the way as I can see it come together.
The Carport had no concept sketch or drawings at all.
This concept sketch is what will ultimately become the Storage Solution X 3 .

Mrs 1/2 Cup was down in Melbourne for a few days and left me fend for my self.
The MG F cylinder head took precedence.
Combustion chambers complete.
The four exhaust ports done, ready for their final polish and one of the inlet ports as well.
In total I have spent nearly 20 hours on the head thus far.

I was surprised with her reaction actually, her words were "Oh no not the compressor that you brought 30 or so years ago " so there was neither an out right no nor a yes it would be time to replace it. The seed has been planted.
PS. I did neglect to mention to her that I do have a spare 2 HP compressor duty electric motor in the shed but I thought that was beside the point.

The porting work is looking great 1/2 cup. You have steady hands. Did you leave additional little notes around for the Mrs. to find that provide compressor details like where to buy, size, etc?

With porting, slow and steady wins the race for sure and especially an alloy head. So far I haven't damaged any of the valve seats or gone into a water jacket. I have some great reference material on this type of head which has really helped me to understand what you can and can't do.

Still working on that 'to do' list trying to get them done I guess.

Sons stove install.
Sons kitchen power points.
Mrs 1/2 Cup suggested some new lights for my sons kitchen whilst I was there might be a good idea. So I am off to the electrical wholesalers after work to pick up more gear.
Trying to keep up with watering the lawns and gardens as well as it looks like a hot few days coming up with 42 C predicted on the weekend.
I will get there no doubt and I am looking forward to a couple of weeks off work as of tomorrow night.

Water restrictions here and my fire break is Lippea lawn kept green if possible. So I hear you on that as I can only water by hand. No Sprinklers. Mind you if we had fire issues all sprinklers would be used.

Me neither HOTFR8. 42 C is not nice. The air will be on in the shed for sure.
We are not on restrictions at this point and on what is called " Permanent Water Savings Measures" which means that we can still use sprinklers during certain hours and I might say is a common sense approach.

You guys have had some pretty horrific weather up there of late Lyndon, were you effected by yesterdays storms?
I for one will be taking it easy and keeping out of the heat as much as you can do. My shed is air conditioned which is really a godsend and I can work in there comfortably. I am up early in any case so I can get stuff done before it gets too uncomfortable but the neighbours do take exception with me mowing my lawns and running the air compressor and die grinder at 5.30 am in the morning.

1/2: does your AC run off solar or how expensive is it to run all day. Man it just seems like a few days ago when you had frezing temps and i had 90 degrees. Is it normal for it to get to 115 in your part of the world?
akdiesel, we get our water from a reticulated town water supply.
The underground water can be fairly salty in this neck of the woods, how ever there are some places that do use bore water for which you need an extraction licence and these are not usually metered.
I did sink a bore here in town a number of years ago, but the water table has dropped significantly around where we are and it would not recharge quick enough to make it a viable source of water for the garden.

Mark the solar panels on the roof of the shed have made a huge difference to the temp inside.The prediction is for 42 c tomorrow, you tend to get used to it after a while and pace yourself accordingly.
