Does that make you and Mrs 1/2 Cup Grandparents (again), or Great Grandparents???

Congratulations (I think), anyway.

Marvelous to have an experienced mid-wife to assist mum!:rocker:

Congratulations!

Glad to hear all are doing well. Are we to assume #3 is still high on the visibility list?

1/2: sounds like everything around your life is plenty busy and just keeps getting busier. so I know the puppies have some if not all CHAMPION blood in them so does Mrs. 1/2 have big plans or do the grandsons need a rodent to play with?

congrats on the DRONE flying and sounds like everything went ok this time. i just watched one of those OUTRAGIOUS SCIENCE tv shows where they have some ridiculous and cool inventions and there is an invention that actually shoots DRONES out of the sky by using powerful radio signals. i don't know if that might ever effect your flying, but thought it was worth mentioning. hopefully it's more for those smaller Drones that like to play peeping Tom and invade people's privacy.

congrats on the new additions to the family and you are probably glad it's a Saturday. you almost have had as many Saturdays as Andy lately. WELL DONE!!

Lyndon, to be honest I am not sure:dunno:

And thank you:thumbup:

Andy, thank you...

Mrs 1/2 Cup took things in her stride and did well.

Actually Andrew, Amy and Aiden called in just as the last pup was born..

Aiden is now nearly two weeks old and settling in well the kids are doing a great job with him.

drives, yep busy is right, it just never stops around here.

To be honest I am not sure exactly what Mrs 1/2 Cups plans for the pups are.:dunno:

The other two Rodents # Gen 1- Stevie and Jackie - are back at the breeders kennels for a month or so whilst this new litter get their feet.

The Drone training was great, I have scheduled weekly training now just to keep our skill sets up to speed.

Its rather ironic that you mention radio waves knocking out Drones we did some cylindrical mapping of our comms tower at work on Thursday for the second time. These comms dishes and radio canopy links put out some serious grunt and we never had any issues with the data link.

I am glad its Saturday for sure:thumbup:

Knocked over all the lawns last night just to keep ahead of the game this week end. Still focusing on the West Wing landscaping in and around the deck area using the last of the bluestone with pavers as per what we have done here.

Evie and the Gen #2 Rodents...

Babies are always so cute. Even baby skunks. Pulling some old plywood out of a shed I happened on a baby scorpion, barely 1/4" long. could not describe that as "cute" and I wondered if he could sting but did no research to that effect. Just did not have the time.

Nice one Grandad.

She looks very much in the moment

Rian, thank you.

Congrats!

jinjaninja alls well.

I certainly did imbibe in the odd beverage after the event..

Not that I did much.

I am guessing Shelby is not happy with with what is going on.

HOTFR8, Shelby just takes the Rodents in her stride and pretty much ignores them. So long as she gets her one on with us she is no problem..

Andy, I have to agree they are just little cuties.

Scorpions, spiders and snakes, cute never, no matter what size.
They bite... :shocking:

Well done 1/2 cup. Would have been beer o'clock for sure after that. My back is feeling that in sympathy.

You won't hear from Andy, he's on that 14 hour flight now that his drill has replicated. Something in your water perhaps?

What's with the A/C unit buried in the deck ?

It looks fantastic Steve. Awesome as usual. You've set your standards so high that if you just gave as a good job it would pale by comparison.

Maybe it's the way I'm looking at it, but it appears that Andy's DeWalt has multiplied. It looks like there's three of them now.:willy_nil

Thanks, Dan! I got up early to look for my DeWalt and I was seeing double, it even looked like there were three:scared: I went back to bed. I don't know what on earth is happening, but with what 1/2 sent to Shorty, and what's left (apparently) in The Great Land of Reverses I'm just sure one or two of my missing DeWalts will be showing up in my hand any day now. Having more than one DeWalt would be like having more than one caboose, how would that fit in the garden?

But it leaves me wondering?:headscrat

Do drills in that marvelous place of backwardness drive left hand screws in forward?

When I get my drill back will I have to put it in reverse to drive our screws?

Why are their steering wheels on the wrong side?

Do they post their images upside down to make it easier for dumb Yanks?

Why, why , why...

Niels thank you...

It really does not take a lot to transform the look and feel of an area like that.

I did not have a BBQ there but I did have a nice scotch sitting there in the evening taking it all in while I was watering the lawns...

What plans do you have to keep the weeds from growing in the rocks ? The pavers look the part as well. Would have been a busy day doing that job.

HOTFR8, the rock is about 3'' thick and makes a pretty good weed suppressant in it self and anything that does grow I just either pull it out or hit it with Roundup.

It did take a fair part of the day to do, I am over carting stone in the barrow let me tell you..

GB thank you..

It certainly was scotch o'clock after that and I have pulled up sore this morning, any way no more gut busting this weekend..

I am guessing we should see Andy here today some time..

Don't talk to me about the A/C in the deck. The PO built the deck around the A/C, unbelievable and I just can't figure out why.:headscrat

It still works OK and its an old R22 unit so when it dies I will replace it with a larger unit and do a proper job of it.

We like the look of it so it was a no brainer to do it in the West Wing.

The old saying goes "if it aint broke don't fix it or reinvent the wheel "

Spot on three Dewalt drills:thumbup:

Andy,:lol_hitti I know you will not read this post until you arrive Downunder but you might have guessed it all ready but I do love my Dewalt drills..

Dewalt actually make a special series of drills that are only sold out here to exactly that " drive left hand screws in forward ". You guys wouldn't see them in the States. :headscrat
That said in my experience I should be possible to reconfigure them to suit your screws..
You may have and issue with our 240 volt battery chargers though.:headscrat

This pea brain has yet to figure out why it is we drive on the wrong side of the road and things are upside down here.:headscrat

Remarkable job on the deck transformation. What really amazes me it the energy you and the Mrs. have. Wow!

Andy, what's that on top of the cabinet? Worked marvelously on the cabinet handle install project yesterday. :D

shorty, thank you..

We just keep chipping away at stuff off the To Do List, you get there in the end...

Andy, spotted the drill..:lol_hitti

( see below )

The carry over design suits very well. I should have known I had seen it before.

HOTFR8, thank you...

A mate of mine has a garden centre where they sell pots and all those nick nacks for your garden. He makes the pavers on site. These are what they call slate texture with a blue/black colour in the cement.

Mine, mine, mine (falls on the floor kicking and crying)

Ok Andy we will not torture you any more, no more Dewalt images on this thread..

You have suffered enough...

All, just when I thought there was a break in the traffic so to speak. Andrew ( in between changing nappies ) has be able to get his old race engine out of the MGF.

Ah, so that one's to rebuild and send my way then 1/2 Cup?

Andrew, yep the old engine will get a make over in due course.

Local pick up only;)

We have a new Cup Car fully welded sub frame that all the running gear will go into.
As well as giving all the suspension ( fully adjustable ) and mounts a full make over while we are at it.

Have a good one and thank you for the visit..

Pickup can be arranged!

Sounds like a plan, it'll be a new car to drive when you're done.

Andrew, :D

I am certainly hopeful it will be like a new car given the work and the detail that's going into it rebuild. The car itself has about 5 years on the track now so its time to hit the refresh button with most of the components being original as far as the suspension goes.
The braking system is having the original ABS removed to fit proportioning valves to balance things up in cornering.

Apart from a new billet crank Andrew has nearly enough parts to do another engine that includes a brand new block and cylinder head.

The engine rebuilding knowledge runs in the family. In the past we have seen the work 1/2Cups brother does. I can see this engine work is going to be on going as part of this topic.

HOTFR8 you are right engine rebuilding and cars. The only trouble is that they are not mine says he whos Model A is gathering dust.:headscrat

You do what you have to do at times, but I do enjoy spending some one elses money on nice shiny engine parts..

Have a great day..

Great job on the pavers 1/2 Cup.
I'm sure Mrs 1/2 Cup will have no problems selling those puppies.

Aaron, thank you....

I am not sure what the future holds for the new pups at this time but with a pedigree like there's I am sure the future is a bright one..

And the walk at the house is very tasteful:thumbup:

Andy, thank you..

It really doesn't take a whole heap to make a place look the goods, the devil is quite often in the detail..

Clocking screws is mandatory...

:) So say all of us. :D

HOTFR8, mores the pity I am not getting payed for it, that said I am sure it will come back 10 fold with the enjoyment we will receive as grandparents with young Aiden in years to come...

Thank you one and all................yet again..

1/2: so is Andrew dropping off that engine so you can pull off the bits and pieces and parts so you can put the new engine in his car?

i know you have a ton going on and congrats for taking it on and showing all of us that no matter what life throws at you to just keep getting up.

best of luck with the new tenant and did one (or more) apply to rent your WEST WING yet or did you pick one? hope if you did that they will treat the house as good or better than you would (and pay on time too).

any more pictures of the new rodents?

cheers

drives, Andrew will be doing the tear down in the Shed Downunder so if we have any issues they can be assessed at the time. As this is my first Rover K Series I thought it a good idea that I see it in the flesh so to speak. He will then take all the bits that we don't need here back to his place.

Thank you, I figure you need to articulate the big picture to better understand what goes on in the Shed Downunder the way I look at it is that it is all part of the mix..

The tenant selection for the West Wing is well under way, in fact there were 19 expressions of interest which have been short listed at this time.

I will try and get some pics of the new rodents up tonight when I am home.
They are doing well.

I had an Electrical trade night last night put on by one of our wholesale companies here and I have to admit I was not running on all eight this morning.
It was a top night, lots of relevant info, product updates plus a few freebies ( newly released light switches and power points )

I never thought I should, but due to this thread and others I now realize that I must clock screws correctly.
So with lots and lots of practice, and I even used phillips head screw just to make it a little harder, but I feel that I have now perfected the best looking "Clocked screws".
Or at least I thought I had, there is always one screw that wont comply with the rest.

Then just to make sure they looked really good, I painted all of them!
