[I to just popped in for a quick review and to wish you a very merry Christmas
And to let you know how much I enjoy visiting and having you stop into the party garage. I have learned much from you and your willingness to share.
Looking forward to a very bright and entertaining year next year

Don,
I can only echo your sentiment and wish you and your family a wonderful
Christmas as well.
Thank you very much for your contribution and inspiration you have provided to all of us here on the
Garage Journal.
1/2: how's MRS. 1/2's knee coming along? it would be nice to have her 100% again if the new puppies are up and running. they look very cute, but as you've said before they seem to act a lot different at the dog shows than at home. you might want to buy a new pair of sneakers (tennis shoes) for all the running you'll be doing soon.
sounds like the engine rebuild is back in Andrew's corner at the minute and still looking forward to seeing that project finished as i know you are.
Did tenants move in yet? and ??
cheers
drives,
Mrs ½ Cup is slowly on the mend, on the doctor’s recommendation not to have surgery just at the moment. She is coping well with the new rodents even though they are getting more mobile every day. I can still out pace them in my work boots…
The
MG F build certainly is largely back in Andrews corner for now but I must say I would be nice to have the project finished and my shed no longer filled with a
kit form
Rover K Series.
Sunday was a little more productive on that front:
• Finally some
Quality Shed Time with
Andrew and myself focussing on the MGF suspension and sub frame rebuild, I have never seen so many suspension and engine stabiliser bushings in my life. They all had to be pressed out which proved a bit of a challenge and one time consuming job. Andrew is assembling the new sub frame in his shop and when completed we will do the final bits and pieces here..
• We were going to use the gearbox that he ran last season which is basically a standard close ratio unit. He tells me that he has just purchased a straight cut, close ratio gearbox with limited slip differential any way watch this space.
• As
Andrew is cleaning up bits and pieces then returning them I am refitting them to the new engine, getting there ever so slowly.
The West Wing:
•
Mrs ½ Cup and I did our final work through and detail Sunday morning in preparation for the new tenants arrival as they pick up the keys Monday.
• Lawns mown and watered.
• Locked up for the last time.
• We are still not sure when they actually intend to move in.
I should take this opportunity in wishing you and your family all the best for Christmas as well and thank you for your contribution, pearls of wisdom and inspiration to the
Shed Downunder.
1/2, I should have just copied and pasted my post. But I wanted each one to be a little more personal. So here goes. I am so pleased to be a part of this group of people we have here on the GJ. They are ALL special to me. You and your thread have become an everyday part of my life. I want to thank you for sharing this part of your life with us. You have been a true inspiration to me. ( I'll even forgive you for the "screw clocking" thing you've done to me). At this time of the year we all get extra busy and time flies by and you find yourself saying, "great I missed it". Before this week comes and goes I wanted to thank you again and wish you and your family (a little larger this year) a very Merry Christmas.
Dan,
I sincerely appreciate your kind words.
Likewise, wishing you and all your family all the best for
Christmas..
I regards to the
GJ it is just such a fantastic forum where we learn, find inspiration, share our successes and failures but most of all ( as you say ) be a part of a great community that is the
Garage Journal..
PS even if that means getting ribbed for the following:
• Not clocking screws.

• Not having + or – minus thousands of an inch lawn edging accuracy.

• Not polishing copper air lines.
Have a great day and again I thank you all for your visit here..
