Maybe a K series swap into that Model A is in order...
Glad you are on the mend!
K Series in a
Model A - now there's an idea
Thank you
Paul, appreciated..
Glad to see you slowly back on the mend 1/2 cup.
Maybe Andrew can set up a comfy chair in the shed so you can at least ponder for a bit here and there.
Take care GB
GB and likewise, thank you..
That is one thing I do have plenty of is nice comfy chairs in the
Shed Downunder and they do get well used let me tell you
I am taking things real easy and just working with what the body tells me..

Great to see you back on board 1/2 cup, take rest and take care as you go thru the rest of your treatment ,our thoughts are with you .
Cheers
steve, ditto thank you as well.
All,
Thanks again for your posts, as you can see dad is punching around doing what he can.
MG's are of abundance have been offered by a family member ( see my profile pics), he knows they are in the best hands (dads) and you all will see a variety of MG's visiting dad.
The MG Tc (the blue one previously pictured) has been great to frequent dad over the past few weeks to break the cycle and provide distraction for dad in a field he knows well, with all old cars there is always some form of attention required - I describe a miss or a noise and dads on it, check the do this, do that and explaining in detail the possibilities and causes, he says he has chemo brain.... still has it when it comes to engines.
As for selling the A .... hmmmm dad and I will need to discuss that one lol - but in the meantime I'll keep him distracted with MG's.
I won't tell him what I'll bring next but stay tuned over the next few weeks
Andrew, thank you.
If I was not working on one certain
K Series engine can you imagine where the
A would be now..
1/2 and Andrew thinks for the posts and information. Glad to see you up and around some and looking forward to you getting better.
Dwight
Dwight sincerely thank you
I am improving every day, I still get very fatigued at times but just go with the flow..

You know what they say, the family that has QST together, stays together. Or something like that? Interesting torque wrench, I don't think I have seen one like it before.
"If there's one thing dad loved more than serenity, it's a Rover K Series engine at full throttle!"
Quote adjusted a bit with my poetic license.
Strouty, I have been just so privileged to have the support I have had during this journey. Its not over yet but we will get there..
The
W&B torque wrenches are made here in Australia and come fully calibrated through the range to 2 %

Spot on..........
1/2, I'm so glad that you are doing better. I'm still hoping for a speedy and complete recovery. That MG looks like fun to drive. Take care and get plenty of rest so you can have plenty QST soon!
Redwolf947, yet again than you..
The
MG TC was a real buzz to drive even with all its vagaries. I am looking forward to another blast this week end if I am up to it..
I have been pottering in the shed but at the moment the
Quality has gone from the
Shed Time to some extent but I am finding any time I do have there is fantastic therapy at the moment..

How about an old MG to drive while you finish restoring the Model A? ...Or you know, you could just send the Model A to me! Glad to hear you're doing ok, all things considered.
Andrew, that is my biggest issue at the moment I do really need an every day driver while I do finish the
Model A. To be able to drive the
MG, mind you its is just that an every day driver, has really got me fired up to get off my **** and get into it.
Just looking back through my thread over the past four years I think I need a few more days in a week to get there..
Thank you
PS I will ponder sending the
A up your way..
Glad you're on the mend Steve, you had me worried.
Dan, thank you
No cause for concern at all I am here for the long haul. The
Chemo after effects really put the hand brake on big time..
UPDATE
I had my CT Scan and bloods done yesterday and results review this morning with the oncology specialist.
Firstly my collapsed lung is back to normal and functioning well

We went through the before and afters from the scans and the tumors have shrunk even more

The specialist is extremely happy with my recovery ( so am I just quietly as it really put some spring back in my steps )

I have been booked in next week to have a second cycle of
Chemoo just to clear up the dregs of the
Cancer cells that you could clearly see on the scans.
Then followed up with a new immunotherapy drug that has just been listed by the AMA for use in Australia.
In terms of returning to work that looks like a couple of months away yet but rest assured
I WILL be making the most of
QST to aid my recovery..
Thank you one and all for you visit and encouraging posts, enjoy your day..
