Steve the appetite and taste returning has to be a new lease on life. Great news!

Bobby,thank you.

It certainly is a new lease on life, to actually feel like I am hungry and to eat some thing and fully appreciate its taste.
I still can not enjoy a coffee or tea as yet.

"These last few weeks I have been back at work full time all though under my terms and conditions."

HA! You could have worked your entire career under your terms and conditions and never had a dissatisfied employer...

Andy, thank you.:thumbup::thumbup:

Thank you gentlemen, have a good one..

These last few weeks I have been back at work full time all though under my terms and conditions. The weather took a cold turn yesterday and I really felt it so I knocked of work early to rest.

I am up to 143 lbs ( 65 kg ) now and my appetite and taste buds are pretty much back to normal 7 months after the Chemo and radiation. I still have quite a few pounds to go mind you.

Good on You........  Keep up the good work......

The stand looks great with it's new looking saw sitting on top. And with good casters I bet its a breeze to roll around. Another 1/2Cup masterpiece.
Since the stand is plenty strong, how about some folding feed rollers that hinge near the top and fold up or down from the sides of the stand as needed.

1/2: amazing restoration of that old beast of a saw. I hope you figure out how to make that part you wanted to upgrade and your out feed tables cause I can see that saw cutting up all the steel for your carport so you don't have to drag all your steel in to work.

VERY WELL DONE!!

if one of your cool benches won't work for an outfeed table or you'd rather not take a chance of damaging them it might be a good excuse to make another bench or maybe just a few stout saw horses.

it wasn't that long ago you brought home that saw but for the guys that can't follow your thread that moves at a pretty good pace I saved the before pictures of your saw.

I also have a couple pretty stout out feed tables that are currently sitting at my shop that i'm not sure i'll be able to keep at my house and too big to store that might give you a couple ideas on how to make yours.

Damn.........
That's a beast.

Riven, thank you.

It cuts steel ever so nice, I just have to get the vise base milled true.

that came up a treat! love it!

Rudi.

Rudi, thank you

I am really happy with it:thumbup:

1/2 Cup,
Saw and stand look good!

Jon, thank you.

I am glad they are together they both weigh heaps.

1/2 with plenty of QST it looks full on pretty good.

HOTFR8 thank you.

I have been busy over the last few weekends to top it off Andrew brought me the # 76 MGF head to evaluate and strip down.

The saw and stand have come up a treat.

Ralf99, thank you.

Another handy bit of equipment..

Steve another classic restoration. Great part about restoring tools is you don't have to build a garage for just one!

Bobby, thank you.

The trouble is I am rapidly running out of room..:eyecrazy:

Unlike your timber mill..

What a beautiful piece of work!

Andy, thank you.

Still a bit to do, I have some stainless tube that I will be making the in and out feed system out of so that should compliment things nicely.

Bob, thank you.

Even being so heavy it is a as you say a breeze to push around.

It is also very stable.

Now that's a top idea to have folding rollers as it keeps its foot print in the shed to a minimum.

Drives, thank you so much..

I have started on the in and out feed rollers this morning which will be an adjustable fixture on the base.

I do have a couple of steel saw horses and single roller set ups that will help as well.

Your right I has not taken all that long to do

Your tables a most certainly "stout " and thank you for sharing.
What do you intend to do with them??

The roller stand.

Steve, you have to smile every time you walk past that saw.

Bob, I do smile every time I walk past it.

Andrew commented on it this morning:thumbup:

It just makes cutting steel so much easier..

Ric, thank you.

I feel that I am improving daily, still I do take things easy and with in my limitations.
Mrs 1/2 Cup even quizzed me on just how the saw and the stand came together.:dunno:
Block and tackles are a great invention..

I am really pleased with how the grinder came up..

Great job on the saw....  I love it..... When you get tired if it I'll give you $5.00 for it.... :lol_hitti :lol_hitti

Lynn, thank you.

I will consider your offer when I am done with it..;)

Nicely done Steve! Saw came out very nice.

Are you still waiting on the replacement blade screw or is it ready to use?

Guster, thank you.

The saw is usable now, how ever I have not been able to track down a 16mm left handed set screw other than as an OEM spare part that costs $52.00:shocking:
May be I will just have to pay that.:dunno:

Wood work or metal work I love to do both and they do and can compliment each other very well IMHO.

Thank you for your visit and I do trust you enjoy the read..

1/2: I think you mentioned you've been cutting steel with your new rehabbed saw. yes?

so i'm thinking we need a few pictures and maybe some thoughts on why you are cutting steel and what you plan to make next?

another updated picture of the Rodents with Shelby and or mama watching over them?

hope you are having a great weekend!!

Oh, go ahead and use it! 1/2 Cup patina will only make it more valuable.

Andy its getting used that's for sure.:rocker:

I still have to machine ( mill ) the vise base to get rid of some wear at the moment I just shim the stock to compensate for that.

Drives, yes I have been cutting steel with the saw and with an almost new blade cuts like a hot knife through butter.

I am in the process of making a infeed set of rollers for the cold saw but I have not had a lot of QST of late. I have not really given much thought as to what is the next build, actyally I would like to get some time on the Model A..

It has been pretty busy all round these last few weeks with work, the new rodents becoming upwardly mobile, visitors over the week end and just life in general.

If I could get these little rodents to stop still for a moment I would get a 1/2 reasonable picture.

Here is one that actually stopped still for a nano second.

Beautiful '32 roadster, is it all steel and original? either way an awesome vehicle and what a good brother to come over and give you the first ride. I bet that was fun. I can't wait to get my '29 on the road if winter weather will ever give up around here.
