I think some of the advantages right now, for you Steve is that you are letting your body dictate the pace, and that you have various support systems in place, from Mrs 1/2 to family, friends and the great healthcare team you have affecting your recovery pathway, perceptions and a very positive attitude despite your experiences, which do not necessarily translate well into print.
Pain is one of them, and joint pain is a ******, I used to work in pain a long time ago, so also know the physiology of pain. Some days, like today, it will take me up to 30minutes from waking up, just to be able to walk upright, pills do help, but I fight that. I do not listen to my body very well.
Then there is this forum, your second line of defence, which is so very important, because despite the distance, we are all part of your family, support system, and many of us have experienced the same, similar, or even worse in our lives as you are.
By sharing with us, you are able to analyse and process part of the goings on inside your body and mind. You also motivate many of us, me included in various ways, a true brotherhood.
Keep taliking, we are here, listening and looking out for you.
