Steve great news. Nice that you are have your warm weather now. It will make it lighter on the lungs for you. Prayers as always. Cheers! Bobby

Many thanks Bobby:bowdown:
The weather is much better now with out the humidity, not that we get a lot of it here any way, that along with the Steroids is helping me breathe heaps better today.

Glad to hear you are feeling better Steve. Well wishes sent your way.

Bret

Bret, many thanks, I am doing much, much better every day now.

"Building steam Captain, preparing for Full Speed Ahead"

Wait for orders Mate

"Waiting for orders, Captain, Ahead Half Speed"

Building steam is right Andy:thumbup: but its just 1/2 throttle at the moment:thumbup::thumbup:

I am not entirely sure I am the one to give you of all people orders:lol_hitti:lol_hitti

1/2, best of luck to you during your stay!

Get better soon!

Thank you Sub:thumbup:

Actually the stay in hospital has done me well just to kick back and relax for a bit:thumbup:

1/2 may be happy to have a short stay in Hospital given the unseasonal cold spell. Even forcast for Snow on the ranges. We are now in Fire Restrictions here so this cold spell is just not the norm.

HOTFR8 there was snow yesterday, so how bizarre is that.:headscrat

1/2: when you mentioned you had a canula blow up I somehow thought you were talking about a power outage at work. damn if I didn't google it to find out that it's about your veins from the IV's. hope you are ok.

also since it's a real SATURDAY did you get your walking papers and a clean bill of health to go home?

hope you are feeling better/great and looking forward to seeing a few more of your pickets up this coming week.

cheers

Drives all is well, the nurses got the cannulas all sorted. I am looking forward to a break from being a human pin cushion for a bit now..

I am feeling 100% now.

Mrs 1/2 Cup has finished painting all the pickets now so I have a bit of catch up to do, any way it will be nice to get home.

Glad to hear all is well from the hospital, you are feeling good and back at home with painted pickets awaiting your attention.
Slow and steady though, don't over do it.

Will you be doing any work outside given this sudden cold spell we are having?

HOTFR8 its a bit cool to be doing much outside here today, I will be just kicking back pretty much and listening to the Summer Spring Nats from here this week end.:3gears:

https://www.autofest.com.au/spring-nats/event-info/

Plus the last round of the Super Cars are on TV.

Thanks Guster I will be just doing exactly that.

I did buy a few bits and pieces ( tool holders and carbide tips )for the lathe on the Hare and Forbes 3 day sale last week so I am a bit keen to make some chips fly now.

Thanks Bob, its great to be home
I might tackle some pickets tomorrow but one thing is for sure I will be taking it easy and definitely not over doing things as was reiterated this morning by my Oncologist, nurses and Mrs 1/2 Cup.

Thank you one and all, have a great weekend..

Day has not been bad here. Still cool but nice. How do you listen to the Spring Nats? Can you hear the burnouts from your place?

I counted 6 events this weekend that interested me.
1 - Spring Nats Shepparton. Not keen on the burnouts and tyre smoke.
2 - Caravan and Camping Show Bendigo. I went to another a few months back.
3 - Maffra Truck Show. To far away for me.
4 - Ballarat Rod Run. I have not seen an entry form for that event for years.
5 - Geelong Revival. I would like to attend this some time.
6 - Castlemaine Truck Show is on and that is close to home. :)

HOTFR8 there is a lot on this weekend for sure

All the best at the truck show.

I don't have a lot of interest in the Spring Car Nats but there are some nice cars kicking around town just the same.
We can hear the burnouts from here and smell burnt rubber if the wind is blowing from the north. The noise is not to bad to put up with but there sure is some tortured engines and drivelines out there today..:3gears:

Why would you build a car to torture the engine, gearbox differential and tyres?..............

I think I might have the answer in this story. My friend bought a really nice cruise style motorcycle and showed it off to me. His first statement to me was, "Do you like my new ***** extension?" They're just seeing who's extension is bigger.

And 1/2, glad to hear you're going to take it easy. But make sure you let us know what bits and bobbles you buy for the lathe. Go forth well, my friend.

xtremek I think you may have hit the nail on the head there.

I am just taking things pretty easy now for sure.

So where I am at now is we are stopping the Immunotherapy for a few months to let things catch up. Another scan in a months time to check on things again, remembering that even though I have stopped the Immunotherapy for now it does keep working for a long while. The steroids have really kicked in now so I am not getting as puffed and I feel back to normal pretty much.
The other thing being off the Immuno for the last month I am not so tired, fatigued or have as much issue with soreness in the joint which is a blessing let me tell you.

Thank you for dropping by and have a great day..

Indeed Dwight:thumbup:

I am feeling great today the Steroids have really kicked in:thumbup: and I have been able to potter on the West Wing's front fence pickets and have now caught up with Mrs 1/2 Cups painting now, with only 33 left to do:rocker:

All have forgotten to mention in all that has been going on over the last week the fencing contractor turned up as we are replacing the old West Wing side fence which was of similar construction with pickets as per the front fence.
This fence matches the property perimeter fencing and affords the tenants much more privacy.

The west wing property looks awesome 1/2. Great job!

Glad to hear you are much improved!:thumbup::thumbup:

Thank you Dan, the West Wing is a continual improvement process jut little bits at a time and we will get there. Our tenants are always very appreciative of what we do and we have no issues in that respect.

I am doing much better in my self now but just softly, softly it will be. I will be working from home for the next few days.

Thank you again.

Glad your health is going well Steve. The fence looks great. I have the colour around my house as well. It's great for privacy and I think it looks tidy.

1/2, looks like your weekend has been a good one and just what you needed. I see a few photos on Instagram on the Spring Nats. I also heard the Police again checked registration and engineers reports along with transport and trailer roadworthy.

I think I might have the answer in this story. My friend bought a really nice cruise style motorcycle and showed it off to me. His first statement to me was, "Do you like my new ***** extension?" They're just seeing who's extension is bigger.

Maybe but how you use that extension may mean much more. If you have the extension why not use it wisely :headscrat If you thrash it and bash it then it will not last.

My truck (HOTFR-8) for example has been on the road many years and it still inspires others when it is shown off. I do not need to do burn outs to get attention. Different groups have different ways to show off what they build. I can drive my truck to and from an event and I can tell you every vehicle used in the burnouts at Spring Nats would have been trucked or trailered to that event and most would require work before they can attend another event. Mine just needed a good wash before I put it away after this weekends Castlemaine Truck Show. .

Good to hear things are ticking along okay health wise for you mate.

The burnout car isn’t my thing, but I can see a lot more enjoyment from that than some shiny showcar that spends its life in a covered trailer and only gets handled with white gloves

1/2: all that planning while you were in the hospital seems to have paid off and you certainly didn't waste any time getting some of your TO DO LIST ITEMS CHECKED OFF.

the new metal fence looks awesome and did that guy do the one next to your carport in the past or was this a different pro doing the work this time?

good to hear you are feeling good and hope your health keeps improving!!

Thank you Aaron it is a nice colour and complements all our fences here as well. It certainly neatens things up some what.

HOTFR8 it was relatively pretty quiet as far as the actual Spring Nats were concerned but as per usual there was a very heavy Police presence doing just that.
My weekend was pretty quite but still got a bit done in any case.

You are right there " if you thrash it then bash it then it won't last for sure".

Your cars and trucks really epitomises what it is all about and no doubt you would be extremely satisfied to show them off just as they are to inspire others to enjoy and perhaps take away some ideas that can be used on their own projects.

Good to hear things are ticking along okay health wise for you mate.

Doing well Hewey:thumbup:

I do really appreciate the work, craftsmanship and money or leave it just as it is that goes into make any car these days so that can be appreciated by all, not that I am a burn out fan as such.

Steve fence looks great! I would take my shoes/boots off to walk across your lawn.:)

Thank you Bobby:thumbup:

Your boots and shoes are certainly acceptable on the lawns at any time..

The new fence looks nice. Just how many pickets are there?

xtremek thank you.
The new all metal side fence replaces 50 odd 1800mm ( about 5' 9" )pickets and 1 access gate which were in sad need of repair and repainting any way.

1/2: all that planning while you were in the hospital seems to have paid off and you certainly didn't waste any time getting some of your TO DO LIST ITEMS CHECKED OFF.

Drives being in hospital for a bit certainly makes you want to get up and go when you get home thats for sure. :3gears:

The new all metal side fence was erected by the same company using all the same fence panel profiles as the rest of our property fences are. The funny thing is I could not even begin to consider doing it my self for the price they charge to put it up plus the sub contractor did a great job of it as well and I am very pleased with the outcome.

Yep I am ticking long nicely today and are working from home just to clear last weeks back log and with the possibly of going into work tomorrow all being well. I can set my own pace on that.

Great news on the scans, Steve, Sorry about the Pneumo,, but through experience, we know it's a possibility always. West Wing fences looking great; kudos to you and the missus. Your Spring Nats do looks a little crazy, even if the only vision I get is from a youtube young man using the moniker of Cleetus McFarland. Does crazy car stuff, but has amassed quite a business and income from a 22 year old college student with 2 jobs. Continue to take it slow. I would think it helps, your work knowledge and ethic notwithstanding, that your Boss is your oncologist's wife. I would have to assume she has a great understanding of what you are going through. Thanks for sharing all you do through this time and keeping a fantastic attitude!

Thank you Ric:thumbup:

Pneumonitis is just that a side effect and manageable and something I just have to live with. This is the second time I have had it with the first being this time last year that put me in ICU for a week until it was worked out what I had. This round it has been a whole lot easier to get on top of very smartly knowing what to look for.

We are pleased how the West Wings fence has come up, it really does look complimentary to ours.

Our Spring Nats are certainly a huge money spinner for the town, luv them or hate them there is still some real nice cars about.

I will continue to take it easy as I am watched from all angles so I do not have much option in that space.
You are right every one has and continues to have a fantastic understanding of where I am at and to some that may not I do not hesitate to let them know as required, there is no point in hiding things too much:thumbup:

Many thanks again:thumbup::thumbup:

Not sure but the owner advised me it was for sale just this afternoon. I do know it is blue, not that helps much. I also know the owner is selling with regret as he has some other nice toys.

HOTFR8 I can appreciate that the owner would be selling with regret, thats sad but I can help in passing it on for sure.

Mark thank you very much I think it just tidies thing up heaps. A bit at a time with the West Wing :thumbup:

You know what..….I spend more time looking up the words you guys use than on any other thread! I am slowly learning something, I think.

Terrick apologies for that.:thumbup::thumbup:

I do trust that it can help, don't hesitate to ask.
Ps I have to Google stuff all the time so you are not on your lonesome..:thumbup:
