My Quality Shed time today, the first print run of QST stickers. After they dry for a day or so they get a clear laminate overlay for protection then back into the printer to get cut out.
Will be ready to start posting them out later in the week.
I have 3 members offer of help to distribute these across the US which is great, easier to spread the distribution a bit, many thanks Guys.
Anyone available to help from Canada?
cheers

I'd like a couple. Just need to know the details!

My recent QST was spent in and out of the (garage) shed, we put a ton of road base down then a ton of gravel to make swmbo happy, then I welded up a duel battery rack for my RV and welded it on. Thru this week I've started hooking up the one battery I have (soon to add a second).

Thinking of 1/2cup often..
Regards,
Mike

Andrew thanks for sharing. I would love to have a sticker. It would proudly go on my toolbox.

Hi All,

Please see Dads service notice, all are welcome.

Andrew thanks for posting the video's and also the service notice for your dad. We will keep the service notice as a tribute until and unless we have the opportunity to have something nicer. In that case both will be honored along with the best of what has been presented in my shop.

Just a polite reminder that this topic now belongs to Andrew-357 so he can update us on what he does with the 'Shed Down Under'. I believe now it would be more respectful to 1/2 Cup if we have a new topic in Free Parking on what GAZZA is doing along with any other ideas etc.

EDIT: New topic for the stickers can be found via this link >

Thanks Andrew. The stickers can be found in a new topic in Free Parking. Keen to see how you progress with what you have inherited from your Dad. We would all like to see some progress on that A Model. What parts do you need? You will find many here may be able to help in that field.

I see a certain symmetry in that.
The apple has , obviously, fallen as close to the tree as you can get ! I'm sure this is what your dad would have been thrilled to have you do ( well ,at least, if any of my boys were interested in this stuff, I would be thrilled if they did that !!!)

I've just seen the sad news now and add my voice to the chorus here. We had plenty of good times in the Shed Downunder. I had been thinking about making my way to Australia some day since Steve said he didn't like the cold weather I'd always post about.
Best wishes to the family and all who will miss him.

All, dad has 2 boys one is extremely talented in many IT areas, in which are well passed my ability, as for myself I'm a little more mechanically minded similar to Dad.
My brother and mum have given the blessing for me to tinker with dads model A, I have managed to get the engine rotating on the crank handle, my next step is to have the engine rotate via the starter.

Once the starter rotation works well I shall be progressing to reconnecting the wiring and fuel system for a full engine function test.

I look forward to keeping you informed of the progress.

Regards Andrew on behalf of 1/2 cup.

I am very sad that have been away from the GJ only to come back to hear this news.

I can not add to all the wonderful things that have been said about our dear friend Steve. He will remain alive in my mind as long as I live. I am honored that I got to be one of his cyber friends. Many laughs and awed at the knowledge that one man had, a true gem. Thank you for all you shared Steve. Fly with the rest of the best that earth ever had to offer.

Glad to see you working on your Dad's Model A, Andrew!

There are so many people who would love to help.

Anyone who would like a casting of the Quality Shed Time should wait until I have a few cast so I'm ready to start deliveries. That includes my cleaning up my inbox as well as my shop.

I remember the first time I came across 1/2 Cup (seemed like a funny handle) was when I found his brake drum pot belly stove. How dumb, I thought, until I looked at it. It was several months before I started my thread and started to get acquainted with Mr. Church.

It's so great that you're choosing to stick around the GJ and carry the torch with your dads projects and much-loved thread.

I apologize for being so late to hear the news. Andrews I'm very sorry to hear about the loss and wish you and the family the best. 1/2 taught many people here some fine lessons that will live on.

Steve:

I thought of you today. I only had a few minutes in the shed so I did a little cleaning up. Here's the shelf with molding tools, it had been so cluttered I was having trouble finding what I wanted. A wise man told me to do an unimportant thing every day.

Miss you every day, Mate.

Saw a post about this elsewhere and searched for this thread. I'm a mostly silent guy on the board who has been on here a while, enjoying all the anecdotes and amazingly skilled folks. Really sorry to hear about this, one of the interesting folks that will be missed, even by people he never met. True mark of an "artist"...

You GJ members have been amazing,
This weekend I plan to get some power hooked up to Dads model A, and cycle the engine off the battery. Moving forward I'll need to hook up the electrics to fire her up, a temporary fuel supply has been set up previously in which I found in the Shed Downunder all cleaned an ready to go.
Hopefully within a few weeks I can share a video of Dads masterpiece running to you all.

That will be great Andrew. I didn’t realize or forgot just how finished the Model A. It has to be a bittersweet project but one I know will make your dad smile. Hopefully grandma and all the grandkids can join in on the maiden voyage.

Andrew, take your time. You should let the mixed emotions you probably feel working on Dad's Model A run their course. Remembering him lovingly restore it will make you smile and not having him beside you when it starts up will bring a tear. We understand and please don't feel pressure from any of us to hurry up and get it done. Your dad's patience showed in everything he did.

Great words Bob.
I agree , it is wonderful that Andrew wishes to keep his dad's legacy going. .... and no pressure of any sort beyond that. Besides, edging the grass should be the priority right now , no ? :)

Anyone who wants to visit the shed downunder can be arranged.
Any work done on Dads model A will be done in accordance with shed downunder rules and importantly conducted in a manner no less that Dads high standards and quality's.
I shall be sure to take my time to ensure anything that gets done is nothing less than perfect.

Words well spoken.

The point is, when you are there don't forget to take a few pictures to post with your comments. After a while it gets to be a habit but it is very easy to forget until you sit at the computer to post.
