I think we are in for some wind the next couple days, I am sure it won't feel great outside, but it is supposed to be in the 30s at night and the 50s during the day. 55 is my ideal temperature, it can bump up to 70 on the weekends, if I am not working of course...

Looks like the xtremek auto repair shop is doing gangbuster business lately. Good luck with the new blue scoot! Maybe the weather will turn warm someday so you can ride it. I’m looking forward to getting my Sportster out for a ride some warm day.

Yo man; I gotta say that those of you who can’t appreciate how much of a PITA that April and May snow is; the mitten is so darn good at making outdoor plans darn near impossible until like Mid may. And, mid may is tough here in Michigan too, there’s always a 50% chance of rain it seems. Either way, what is rough about snow in April and May is that: it is so useless. It is too warm in Michigan to snowboard at that time of year and it’s too cold to go hang out outside.

I was able to waive to the town of xtremek a few weeks back on the way to Hastings to freeze while riding in the BRX. Transitional seasons can be really tough here in Michigan, but this what makes us really appreciate the beautiful days all that much more. I am still enjoying the auto repairs over there … keep em coming!

You folks over in the thumb have it pretty bad, because if you're far enough north, you get the lake effect. Fortunately, we're just far enough inlandit doesn't USUALLY hit us hard. Anyway, Thanks for dropping by, Robey
Robey, I spent 43 years in Chicago, I've earned my sarcasm!
I lived during the time that they didnt have snow days, so I have walked to school up hill both ways fighting off polar bears with a loose leaf note book! 🥶

This one works for me. :bitchslap

Gents, I had a rough morning at the gym, and to come home and see this on my thread was a great way to rebound. Anyone who drops by here had better be well versed in sarcasm, and you folks always seem to deliver when I need it most.

You must not be doing the gym right. Everyone who goes to the gym tells me it's a great stress relief and that they feel amazing afterwards.

I don't even know what things would be like without sarcasm, it would definitely be a boring world. Although there are plenty of people that can't even begin to understand sarcasm, they can't tell if you are being sarcastic, they can't even fathom why you would use it. I feel bad for them.

FYI, we found the main issue with the bike. I had a friend come over to double check my diagnosis, and I'd confirmed I wasn't a blooming idiot (checked spark, good). Pulled the air cleaner housing off, and as it cleared the engine, a rag fell out. It had been stuffed up in the carbs. It runs on ether now, but I've diagnosed the issue is now the fuel pump is toast (jumped the relay, no love). Part ordered and should be here tomorrow. Hopefully I don't have to pull the carbs apart. If it just runs, I'll run some Seafoam in the tank and see what it does.

Happy for you that progress is being made.

On the Honda front, I did replace the fuel pump, but no love. Bypassed the fuel pump relay and still nothing. Pulled the carbs out and found pretty blue green liquid in them. I guess Stabil is only good for so long. Everything was glued. I used pin drills to clean a lot of it out, reassembled, installed, and then filled the carbs with Seafoam. They’re still not cleaned enough. Luckily, my oldest friend (he won’t admit to it under oath) has an ultrasonic cleaner.plugged carb 2.jpg

Sounds like things (except the motorcycle which you will get fixed) are going your way.
I wish that were true. The Sonic has popped a new engine code, as has the Cruze. The pickup is now throwing intermittent ABS codes. Still can't find the clunk and rattle in the Escape, and the Equinox just crapped out it's alternator and master cylinder. I'm sick of fixing +100k mile cars and trucks, just to have them go bad a week or two later. Good thing the Fusion and the Elantra just need frequent cans of injector cleaner.

The neighbor got his Kubota stuck in the muck in his lane, so I fired up Claudia, and trotted down the road. I told him to put it in drive and try to drive his way out while we pulled him out. Nope, he just sat there. Claudia stood on her nose and pivoted on the one side while we pulled him out with only the dozer doing any work.Dave stuck 1.jpg

Bring the NBAS and we'll load her up. Though for the amount you'll spend in gas to come up here, you could probably buy one just like her down there.
