Got my Pony clamps. They seem like decent enough clamps. The threads run smooth and there are no obvious flaws in the castings. Some of the paint was chipped, but that's probably just from getting bounced around in shipping.

I sure hope anyone that purchased the Pony Adjustable Clamp 1480-C Adjustable C-Clamp, 8-Inch for $7.79 can see the error of their way when comparing this model Bessey to that model Pony. If I didn't need them today, for essentially the same money, I would rather take the chance on getting the Bessy in the future vs having the Pony now. You won't believe the difference between these two models.

Thanks to you guys I successfully cancelled my order for 2 Pony clamps and ordered 2 of these Bessey clamps. I don't need them right now and will patiently wait.

Not a scam, just an error.
To a seller, Amazon's product codes are really poor about differentiating singles from multiples, and even worse, the listing can change unpredictably.
Especially with semi-automated listings it's easy for the seller to miss.

"Don't rush to attribute to malice that which can be easily explained by incompetence.".

Ordered 8 of the Bessy clamps (I have a decent-sized hobby shop but also a fabrication business, and these are invaluable in both). I ordered several last time around and much of the order was canceled by Amazon. I still received a few, but they refused to reinstate my order and allow me to wait for restock.

lately instead of getting digital credit, I've been offered 6% back on my Amazon card instead of 5%. I'd rather have the digital credit (its usually worth more dollar for dollar)
