two issues raised:
I think that was posted before.
likely me. this is an interesting question. it is likely that a bunch of people check this thread regularly, picking up where they left off, but I bet a lot of people only stop by occasionally. I doubt they go back many pages, mainly looking at the last two or three. the earlier pages are likely full of dead deals, making it not worthwhile.
so, reposting something that you haven't seen in a while is useful, especially for smaller things, where they might restock items. letting you know they are back in stock.
"Item has major cosmetic damages but is still usable. Large cosmetic imperfection(s) on top, front or sides of item. Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged."
if you want to risk it....
there was a short discussion a few pages back about this. the consensus seems to be that you all are "informed customers", and posting these deals is reasonable.
in general, I have found that most things with the "damage. . . original packaging" it is usually damage to the packaging, not the item, although this is certainly not always true. it is also a much bigger deal with an 800$ item that may be a pain to return . . . . . . . but the potential payoff is also bigger.
as noted in the discussion, some damage doesn't effect the use of the item, and statistically speaking, it is probably on the sides or back of the item. . . .
but you are correct. all AWD's are a risk.
