Mr fixit, so how does that work? Is this the small cloth wrapped rubber that you cut and tie on a hook?

I use hog ring pliers, fold over the end, crimp it and slide the bungee hooks made especially for this purpose. I can make any length. One of my favorite uses is for holding a car cover in place over the winter regardless of the wind.

I think that was posted before.

"Item has major cosmetic damages but is still usable. Large cosmetic imperfection(s) on top, front or sides of item. Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged."

if you want to risk it....

two issues raised:

I think that was posted before.

likely me. this is an interesting question. it is likely that a bunch of people check this thread regularly, picking up where they left off, but I bet a lot of people only stop by occasionally. I doubt they go back many pages, mainly looking at the last two or three. the earlier pages are likely full of dead deals, making it not worthwhile.

so, reposting something that you haven't seen in a while is useful, especially for smaller things, where they might restock items. letting you know they are back in stock.

there was a short discussion a few pages back about this. the consensus seems to be that you all are "informed customers", and posting these deals is reasonable.

in general, I have found that most things with the "damage. . . original packaging" it is usually damage to the packaging, not the item, although this is certainly not always true. it is also a much bigger deal with an 800$ item that may be a pain to return . . . . . . . but the potential payoff is also bigger.

as noted in the discussion, some damage doesn't effect the use of the item, and statistically speaking, it is probably on the sides or back of the item. . . .

but you are correct. all AWD's are a risk.

As I said before that box has been dropping. Not long ago it was just under $1k, then $955, $935, $899 and now $864.

Although it's less box than the HF 72" at $1k so I'd say it's a questionable value even now.

Forgive me, I was not trying to shame anyone for re-posting. Just saying that thing has been on AWD awhile, I should have added A52 830 post which stated the price dropping.

The other issue, yes who knows what the damage is, just hoping to point that out to someone who might have missed that.

The Harbor Freight 72" toolbox is now $999- with coupon

See the link below for the specific coupon(s) and a good resource for coupons and coupon history for HF products:
https://www.hfqpdb.com/best_coupon/72"+X+22"+TRIPLE+BANK+EXTRA+DEEP+CABINET

I saw the HF 72" toolbox reviewed as a better tool box than some other 6 wheel toolboxes that are very hard to maneuver in a dense shop.

I have 44" and 56" toolboxes from HF and I think that they are excellent and are actually inexpensive for the quality.

What gauge of steel are the hf? I was looking at the series 2 boxes yesterday and they seemed a little on the thin side. But I don't have much to compare it to. Some had a goofy latch on gje right side which seemed odd to me.

Well I said the HF box is $1k (which i meant w coupon as it's posted $1099 in stores). You said $999. That's a difference of a buck (a buck means a dollar since apparently we're struggling w common uses of written language).....so pretty much the same.

Incidentally for all: look out for seller BETDAQ on Amazon, I'd say it's a hacked account. A bunch of toolboxes just popped up "used" at $500.00 each regardless of size ranging from 36" to 96" widths, and a side locker too. On the sellers page it claims new in box and then says to contact them at a Gmail address before ordering. The Gmail address is clearly spaced out between characters and the @ is posted as ' "AT" ' to clearly try to circumvent software which is intended to prevent this.

I contacted Amazon about it via chat, we'll see if they do anything.

It's unfortunate 'cause looks like a valid seller w lots of good fb (oh yeah sorry fb is feedback) who was just recently hacked. Even if I'm wrong the attempt to give a Gmail address is sketch (that means suspicious)

BETDAQ Direct (who had a bunch of suddenly-appeared fraudulent $500.00 toolbox listings) also responded directly to me thru Amazon's messaging system.

Given the broken English and misspellings I almost wonder if it's not the scammers responding, but I doubt a scammer would admit to being a scammer

"Hello,
Thank you for contacting us.
We are sorry that our seller account has been stolen yestoday and a lot of listings have been created, and we are unable to ship the items since we never sell the products.
We and Amazon are investigating this matter.
We are really sorry for the inconvenient caused to you.
Thank you for your understand.

The only odd item is the shipping weight as these carts are more like 200 lbs but I was willing to take a shot....

Well I dicked around a little too long on that one. I had no idea I needed another tool cabinet when I woke up this morning but after a bit of measuring and scheming I decided I needed that black Homak cart bad, real bad. When I finally had the moxie to come back in and push the buy button it was gone. Easy come, easy go.

OEMtools 24958 cart. I believe this is the 24x36" cart (the product dims seem to include the storage bins and possibly the handle). I'm pretty sure it's identical to the WEN which is a very nice poly utility cart. I own the WEN and was psyched to get it around $80, and that was only with an eBay 15% sale.

Tend to hover around $100 retail most places online

Two AWD offers here, $73 and $76. Note some reviews talk of missing hardware, etc....but there's very little hardware to these carts. They mostly slide and lock together in what I would describe as fairly ingenious designs. For a "plastic" cart I'm VERY impressed w my WEN - and that's saying a good bit coming from a metalworker
